Neben einer annotierten �bersetzung der Autobiographie und s�mtlicher Kollophone, die einen �berblick ueber das Schicksal der Querrolle im Laufe der Jahrhunderte vermitteln, bietet die Studie eine Untersuchung der �sthetischen Kriterien, welche die chinesische Kunsttheorie zur Beurteilung der "wilden Konzeptschrift" entwickelte, und stellt neue Methoden der formalen Analyse vor.
