The Trinity Imprint concept is an important lens presented in this book that reveals the fundamental order woven into the design of Creation. It is this Trinity Imprint that enables us to grasp the three dimensional aspect of salvation, how it interfaces with time (past, present, future) and the three components of our personhood (spirit, soul, body). It also explains how the three dimensions of our soul (mind, will, emotions) work in conjunction with our body and our spirit to facilitate the transformation of our soul into the image of Christ. For born again believers, our spirits are saved, our souls are being saved, and our bodies will be saved. When we truly trust in Jesus as our Lord and receive Him as our Savior, our spirit is saved. In that moment, we receive a deposit of the Holy Spirit and become a new creation. If we truly believed, then our spirit is saved and cannot be unsaved. Our soul, on the other hand, is in the process of being saved, and to the degree it is transformed into the image of Jesus, it will be saved. The implications of this are enormous because the formation of our eternal soul is taking place in the current age. It begins as a sovereign work of God but our participation with the Holy Spirit plays a significant role in the degree to which it continues. The degree to which our soul is transformed on earth determines the degree to which we will be capable of reflecting the glory of God in eternity.
