The Book of Daniel in the Tanach (Bible) speaks of a time when the 4th kingdom, which has already come upon the earth, will be revived and arise to a place of pre-eminence over all nations. From this 4th kingdom the evil leader will come forth to rule and reign over the whole world for a short time. (Time, two times and half a time or 3 ½ years). What we now see and experience as evil and violence is but a foretaste to the time of the rule and reign of the evil leader of the 4th kingdom yet to come upon the earth. The pages within this book unveil much detail regarding world events, some of which have already occurred, others of which have been in the making for years and are about to become a full reality. Spiritual discernment and understanding of these world events and how they are being woven together by the hand of G-d are essential in order to give one a clear view of the larger picture regarding the rise and the destruction of this 4th kingdom. Before the Messiah Himself comes to destroy this 4th kingdom and its evil leader, G-d will, in His sovereignty, use this 4th kingdom to fulfill His purposes of judgment, both upon the nations and with His chosen people, the Jews. The connections between the written word of the Lord G-d and the documented course of events taking place in the world today, revealed within this book, will not leave any doubt of G-d's intentions of His heart-the redemption of His people.

The author has brought forth in clarity, God's plan for the spiritual and physical redemption of His people, His land, and Jerusalem. His plan as revealed in the Tanach (Bible) is unfolding right before our very eyes. The time is very near when the God of Israel will bring His people into the bond of the covenant, a new covenant, into which the whole house of Israel will enter and they will be His people and He will be their God. However, there will be much tribulation during this time known as the Day of the Lord, not only for the Jewish people themselves, but also for all nations and peoples of the world.

A Bible student reference A New Testament prophecy of a falling away from truth into apostasy and lawlessness, in the final generation before Jesus Christ returns in glory, is being fulfilled now and is shortly to end. Yet Christianity has overwhelmingly moved so far from its first century roots that it could not even recognise this – or that Christ’s return is therefore now almost upon us! How and why this is the case is here explained thoroughly and logically with many examples directly from the word of God. In God’s saving plan for the world, everyone must in time make a free will choice to become part of the ‘Israel of God’ in order to access eternal life in the kingdom of God. The route to take is the “strait and narrow” way (Mat 7:13-14) that very few have so far found, and it involves the biblical new and old covenants which both apply to this Israel. Embark on this voyage only if you are willing to: be challenged about some basic Christian preconceptions, be a serious open-minded Bible student, and trust what the Bible teaches - but remember that time is short. “What the Bible has taught me I see as both vital and urgent for our eternal salvation; yet I know of no church or individual theologian who teaches what this book deals with in any substantive way” “Be prepared for major challenges to your understanding just as God has challenged me.” “In the epistles, Paul refers to two Israels whom he calls Israel after the flesh (I Cor 10:18) and the Israel of God (Gal 6:16); I focus mainly on the latter (but I also explain an unexpected but critically important connection between them)” “Dependent on the teaching, nearly all Christian denominations either teach nothing at all on it or almost the opposite of what Scripture repeatedly showed me. Looking back, I find this absolutely staggering!” “Very few [Christians] understand that the new covenant also only applies to Israel (as I will clearly show).” “I no longer believe that the NT [New Testament] can be fully understood without this extra Israel dimension” “Had I felt I could deliver this in a more light-hearted way I would have done so, but its implications are too awesome and fundamental to our eternal life prospects for that”

Ho! For that day is great, with none like it, and it is a time of distress for Jacob, through which he shall be saved. Jeremiah 30:7 We are rapidly moving towards the prophetic time period known as "The Time of Jacob's Distress." It is a time of great evil and much violence and suffering. Nonetheless, G-d will be glorified and His chosen and faithful ones saved. What are the nations of the world de-manding of Israel? Forsake your G-d! Forsake His covenant promises! Forsake your birthright in the land He promised you as an everlasting possession! Forsake and surrender your control over G-d's holy city, Jerusalem, and give control of His holy mountain to those who worship Allah! As all the nations come against Israel, G-d's prophetic clock has begun its hastening countdown to the final fulfillment of all that He has written in His word regarding His sovereign plan of redemption for His Chosen people. Israel will then be ready to take her rightful place as G-d's witnesses to the nations as Isaiah 43 describes so clearly; "I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses," says the Lord, "that I am G-d." Most importantly those who read this book will be drawn by the Spirit of G-d to full awareness of two things: the days in which we are living are of great peril and all of us have a great need for repentance and returning to Him who is able to save.

This book began as an introduction to the Bible for educated people unfamiliar with it. As public ethics in the United States began to fray, it changed into focusing on the key values in biblical literature and the costs of disregarding them. Biblical values were organized into systems known as covenants or testaments between human beings and the god Yahweh. The covenants developed by Moses and Jesus are the most important covenants in the Bible. They are not the only ones, but it is these two covenants that go most deeply into our survival or failure as individuals and as a species. The last third of the book analyzes various aspects of public life today in the light of covenantal teaching and suggests ways to strengthen commitment to them. The author’s goal is to get this book into the hands of people who share his concerns and who would like to revive the influence of public ethics.

The latter part of the 1600's in Scotland has become known in the annals of time as the 'Killing times'. The Oath and The Covenant is a story based on the lives of these brave Scottish Presbyterian Covenanters, their object being to release their beloved Scotland from the strangling grasp of an English king, who claimed he had a 'Divine Right' to rule both church and state. The Covenanters never relinquished their determination to gain what they viewed as a God given right to worship freely. They endured inhumane treatment leveled upon them by King Charles II's armies in his attempt to subjugate them. John Whitelaw, the Martyr of Monkland, was one of many who was torn from the bosom of his family and finally gave his life to gain religious freedom. The story continues based upon the many accounts of those who were banished to the Americas. It was in America that they found friends among the Abeniki tribe of Indians, who taught the Scots needed skills to survive in this new land and drew them into their culture. They also found precious religious freedom to worship according to the dictates of their hearts-and not that of a king.
