Die überlieferte Vorstellung von der >Tora, nämlich von dem von Mose verfaßten Pentateuch, läßt sich bis in nachexilische Literatur der Hebräischen Bibel (Chronistisches Geschichtswerk) hinein zurückverfolgen. In früherer biblischer Literatur (Bücher Josua und Könige) wurde dieser Mose-Tora noch nicht der gesamte Pentateuch, sondern nur das Buch Deuteronomium (bzw. Teile aus ihm) zugewiesen. Thema der vorliegen-den Arbeit ist die Vorgeschichte der Mose-Tora, d.h. die Entwicklung des Begriffs Tora bis zu ihrer Zuschreibung zu Mose in der Zeit Joschijas. Der Beginn dieser Vorgeschichte läßt sich in der Mitte bzw. der zweiten Hälfte des 8. Jh. ausmachen, und zwar im Efraimitischen Geschichtswerk (EfrG: Jos 24 - 1 Sam 12*) und bei Hosea: Hier besteht die Tora noch allein aus der Forderung nach der ausschließlichen Verehrung des Rettergottes JHWH. Eine Weiterentwicklung erfährt der Tora-Begriff in dem unter Joschija aufgefundenen Gesetzesdokument, das sich selbst noch nicht als Tora aus-weist, dann aber erstmals im um 622 verfaßten Tora-Auffindungsbericht (2 Kön 22 - 23*) Tora

Josua und Salomo puts forward the thesis that the literary figure of the successor was created by circles who strongly relied on the book of Deuteronomy. In order to construct the ideal of a successor they used the characters of Joshua and Solomon and implemented the results of their theological reflection which were unleashed by the complete destruction of the pre-exilic political, social and religious organization of the nation. The figure of Joshua combines all the treats of their theological conception of an ideal political leader, whereas the figure of Solomon demonstrates the dangers which are implied in monarchical succession. From the theological perspective of deuteronomism “Solomon” and “Joshua” are opposite characters. The deuteronomic concepts of God and authority play a central role for the reflection on both characters.

ZU "HEGEL UND DER STAAT" Der erste, der das Leben Hegels schrieb, war der Konigsberger Professor Karl Rosenkranz. Sein Buch erschien 1844. Der Verfasser hatte Hegel noch seIber gekannt. Unter den person lichen treuge bliebenen Schiilern ist er einer der freieren; ohne daB er seinen Anschauungen nach gerade der Hegelschen Linken zuzurechnen ware, ist ihm doch manches mit ihr gemein; nicht bloB eine gewisse Selbstandigkeit gegeniiber der Systematik des Meisters, sondern mehr noch eine eigentiimliche Zersplitterung und Beweglichkeit des Empfindens, ein unruhig stoffsiichtiges Hineingreifen in die Schatze der Zeit und Vergangenheit, ein starker Hang endlich zum geist reichen Widersinn stell en den Verfasser der "Asthetik des HaBlichen" fast eher in die Reihe der StrauB, Bauer, Feuerbach als zu den Marheineke, Gabler und Henning. Sein Hegelbuch zeigt von diesen Eigenschaften verhaltnismaBig wenig; sie sind da zuriickge drangt durch die fromme Achtung des Schiilers gegen den toten Meister und wohl auch durch den Ernst des BewuBtseins, sozusagen im amtlichen Auf trag der Schule zu schreiben: die Lebensgeschichte trat an die Offentlichkeit als Erganzungsband zu den Werken. Auch die Menge handschriftlichen Stoffes, die das Buch im Abdruck oder Auszug brachte, tat das ihre, dem Verfasser den Ratim fiir seine eigenen Fliige einzuengen. Immerhin wird der Leser des noch heute unentbehrlichen und urn seiner ausgepragten und zeitcharakteristi schen Eigenart willen wohl nie ganz iiberftiissig zu machenden Buchs noch genug wunderbare Einfalle darin finden.
