Digital Poetics written by Marjan Colletti and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-03-02 with Architecture categories.
Digital Poetics celebrates the architectural design exuberance made possible by new digital modelling techniques and fabrication technologies. By presenting an unconventional and original ’humanistic’ theory of CAD (computer-aided design), the author suggests that beyond the generation of innovative engineering forms, digital design has the potential to affect the wider complex cultural landscape of today in profound ways. The book is organised around a synthetic and hybrid research methodology: a contemporary, propositional and theoretical discursive investigation and a design-led empirical research. Both methods inform a critical construct that deals with the nature, forms, and laws of digitality within a contemporary architectural discourse that affects practice and academia. The chapters spiral at, from, towards, around, outside-inwards and back inside-out digitality, its cognitive phenomena, spatial properties and intrinsic capabilities to achieve, or at least, approach Digital Poetics. The book presents speculative and small-scale constructed projects that pioneer techniques and experiments with common 3D and 4D software packages, whereby the focus lies not on the drawing processes and mechanics, but on the agency and impact the image (its reading, experience, interpretation) achieves on the reader and observer. The book also features a preface by Frédéric Migayrou, a philosopher and curator, and one of the most influential cultural engineers of the contemporary international architectural scene. The book is linked to a website, which contains a larger selection of images of some featured projects.

Digital Poetics written by Loss Pequeño Glazier and has been published by University of Alabama Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002 with Computers categories.
In Digital Poetics, Loss Glazier argues that the increase in computer technology and accessibility, specifically the World Wide Web, has created a new and viable place for the writing and dissemination of poetry. Glazier's work not only introduces the reader to the current state of electronic writing but also outlines the historical and technical contexts out of which electronic poetry has emerged and demonstrates some of the possibilities of the new medium. Glazier examines three principal forms of electronic textuality: hypertext, visual/kinetic text, and works in programmable media. He considers avantgarde poetics and its relationship to the on-line age, the relationship between web pages and book technology, and the way in which certain kinds of web constructions are in and of themselves a type of writing. With convincing alacrity, Glazier argues that the materiality of electronic writing has changed the idea of writing itself. He concludes that electronic space is the true home of poetry and, in the 20th century, has become the ultimate space of poesis. Digital Poetics will attract a readership of scholars and students interested in contemporary creative writing and the po

Latin American Digital Poetics seeks to take the pulse of emergent poetic forms whose history is entangled with the computational and its AI dreams and achievements. This study carefully and thoroughly probes the intersection between the literary, the cultural, and the scientific-technological in order to reflect on the ways that digital technology has radically reshaped and reconfigured nearly all aspects of contemporary culture. The main idea of this book, then, is simple: by way of panoramic approaches to digital poetry as well as select case studies, we seek to account for the multi-directional exchange between poetry, technology, and culture via a (primarily) pedagogical approach.

This book examines contemporary forms of digital poetry in emerging technologies such as drones, machine learning, Instagram, virtual reality and mobile devices. Theoretical frameworks that engage with posthumanism, multimodality, hermeneutics and eco-writing are used to examine the changing shape of the literary artefact in the second age of machines. The book contextualises the necessity of a multidisciplinary approach for a complex artefact and gives a broad overview of the field and history of digital poetry as a subset of the genre of electronic literature. Naji examines Instapoetry and the literary algorithm, haptic hermeneutics and poetry apps. The discussion also engages with eco-writing and drone poetry, poetic mirror worlds, and mixed reality poetry, concluding with an examination of the future of poetics and literary expression in the second age of machines.

Drawing on Paul Ricoeur's narrative theory and ethics, Fernando Nascimento argues for a new approach to integrating ethics into digital technology development, use, and regulation. This book introduces the concept of "digital poetics" to address the unprecedented ethical challenges posed by ubiquitous, intimate, and plastic digital technologies. Nascimento proposes narrative deliberation as a framework for ethical decision-making, contextualizing moral principles, encouraging public debate, intertwining technique with ethics, and employing narrative imagination to overcome practical dilemmas. By examining three spheres of deliberation-developers, users, and institutions-Digital Poetics offers a multidimensional analysis of ethical considerations in the digital realm. This book presents digital poetics as both a utopian ideal and an ethical imperative which can respond to the rapid pace of technological change and the complexity of implementing ethical frameworks in digital contexts

Radical Poetry written by Eduardo Ledesma and has been published by SUNY Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-11-02 with Literary Criticism categories.
Engages in a critical reanalysis of historical Ibero-American experimental poetry in order to demonstrate how the contemporary digital vanguard owes much to this tradition. With a broad geographic and linguistic sweep covering more than one hundred years of poetry, this book investigates the relationships between and among technology, aesthetics, and politics in Ibero-American experimental poetry. Eduardo Ledesma analyzes visual, concrete, kinetic, and digital poetry that questions what the literary means, what constitutes poetry, and how, if at all, visual and verbal arts should be differentiated. Radical Poetry examines how poets use the latest technologies (cinematography, radio, television, and software) to create poetry that self-consciously interrogates its own form, through close alliances with conceptual and abstract art, performance, photography, film, and new media. To do so, Ledesma draws on pertinent theories of metaphor, affect, time, space, iconicity, and cybernetics. Ledesma shows how José Juan Tablada (Mexico), Joan Salvat-Papasseit (Catalonia), Clemente Padín (Uruguay), Fernando Millán (Spain), Décio Pignatari (Brazil), Ana María Uribe (Argentina), and others turn words, machines, and, more recently, the digital into flesh, making word-objects come alive by assembling text to act and seem human, whether on the page, on walls, or on screens. This book is extraordinary. It is truly original in its conception and deeply grounded in its knowledge, and it communicates a passion for its topics, especially the digital age. This is a major contribution that surely will be a new model for literary critique in these languages. Gwen Kirkpatrick, Georgetown University
