What Readers Are Saying I felt Lisa's loving, calm, and soothing voice as I read the devotionals. Documenting our life stories can be intimidating, but Lisa gently and prayerfully leads readers on the journey. She tells stories I related to-as would many others. Her carefully-crafted prayers show her sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the delicacy of each person's sacred journey. Daphne Tarango As a busy mom looking for some solid ground in the midst of life's daily details, I love this devotional journal. Lisa's succinct, practical style allowed me to delve quickly into each chapter without feeling overwhelmed, yet challenged me to think deeply about my journey with Christ. Kim McCauley If you are on a path that is leading you to the heart of God then this book will add depth and breadth in your own journey. Lisa opens up about her own quest IN A WAY that is vulnerable, yet has a strength to it that draws you deeper into searching your own heart and soul. Rebecca Hinebaugh Lisa Are Wulf has a knack for words, to put it mildly. Each chapter is a devotional for one day. The chapters are really quite short, but they hold a ton of power. I have been a Christian my entire life, yet I found this devotional able to get me to dig deeper every day. I highly recommend this book! M G Kerri Her writing comes through so authentically, and her stories draw you in and are relatable. It really makes you feel as though you have a companion on this journey, someone who may have stumbled and fallen at some point but who made it through. It is very encouraging to feel that someone else is in this with you. Anna-Liisa Mullis I found this book to be a delight to read. I felt a close connection with the author as she traces the footsteps of her spiritual journey. Many of us have experienced the same difficulties on our own spiritual journey. Jack East

Tracing T S Eliot S Spirit written by Anthony David Moody and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996-08 with Literary Criticism categories.

T. S. Eliot's lifelong quest for a world of the spirit is the theme of this book by leading Eliot scholar A. David Moody. The first four essays in the collection map Eliot's spiritual geography: the American taproot of his poetry, his profound engagement with the philosophy and religion of India, his near and yet detached relations with England, and his problematic cultivation of a European mind. At the centre of the collection is a study of the Latin poem Pervigilium Veneris, a fragment of which figures enigmatically in the concluding lines of The Waste Land. The third part of the collection is a set of five investigations of Eliot's poems, dealing particularly with The Waste Land, Ash Wednesday and Four Quartets, and attending to how they express and shape what he called 'the deeper, unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being'.

The Progressive Mystery written by Myk Habets and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019 with Religion categories.

Myk Habets carefully explores the progressively revealed identity and mission of the Holy Spirit as revealed throughout Holy Scripture and then interpreted by the Church. As a work of biblical theology, the focus of Parts 1 & 2 is on how the identity of the Spirit has been revealed, understood, and interpreted throughout the sweep of Holy Scripture. As a contribution to historical theology, the focus on Parts 3 & 4 is on the ways in which the orthodox understanding of the mission of the Holy Spirit has developed. This study offers graduate students the ideal entrée into the study of pneumatology as it opens the windows on Scripture and Tradition in ways which allow others to see what is going on. Taking its place among other introductions to pneumatology, this study is a readable and reliable guide to what is often considered the elusive Holy Spirit of God.

Tragedies Of Spirit written by Theodore George and has been published by State University of New York Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-02-01 with Philosophy categories.

In Tragedies of Spirit, Theodore D. George engages Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit to explore the philosophical significance of tragedy in post-Kantian continental thought. George follows lines of inquiry originally developed by Nietzsche, Heidegger, Gadamer, and Derrida, and takes as his point of departure the concern that Hegel's speculative philosophy forms a summit of modernity that the present historical time is called to interrogate. Yet, George argues that Hegel's larger speculative ambitions in the Phenomenology compel him to turn to the resource of tragedy in order to give voice to issues of incommensurability, discontinuity, otherness, strife, and crisis. From this standpoint, Hegel's interest in the tragic proves to be more pervasive and to run deeper than has previously been recognized. The author shows that Hegel's reliance upon the tragic not only stretches and tests assumptions of speculative philosophy, but also illuminates original insights into human finitude. While situating Hegel's approach to tragedy as part of a broader response to Kant, George also contextualizes Hegel's interest in tragedy with reference to figures in German Idealism and Romanticism, such as Schelling, Hölderlin, and Schlegel.

Tracing The Lines written by Robert Sweetman and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-08-23 with Religion categories.

Tracing the Lines takes on the project of what Christian scholarship is, and should be, today. It does so, however, with an eye to locating similarities in the rich tradition the last nearly two thousand years of Christian scholarship has given birth to. With humility and a sympathetic ear, Sweetman traces the way certain lines of thought have developed over time, showing their strengths, their weaknesses, and their motivation for shaping Christian scholarship in particular ways. Though he locates his own thought within a particular one of these streams, he shows how all of them have contributed in different ways to the formation of the work of Christian scholarship. Offering in the end an understanding of Christian scholarship as scholarship attuned to the shape of our Christian hearts, this book reaches across disciplines to connect Christians engaged in scholarship in all areas of the academy, whether at public or private institutions.
