Training Missionaries written by Evelyn Hibbert and has been published by William Carey Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-08 with Religion categories.

Missionaries must know God, be able to relate well to other people, understand and engage with another culture, and be able to use the Bible in a way that informs all aspects of their lives and ministries. Missionary training must address each of these areas if it is to help Christians to be effective in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. Effective training has been shown to prevent people from prematurely leaving the field. It also reduces the danger of cross-cultural workers uncritically exporting culturally bound forms of Christianity. This book details four key areas that every missionary training program, whatever its context, must focus on developing. It shows how these can be holistically addressed in a learning community where trainers and trainees engage in cross-cultural ministry together.

Basic Training For Christians written by Donna Rowlette and has been published by Xulon Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03 with categories.

Donna Rowlette is devoted to educating others on how they must go through a biblical transformation process to become Christ-like. Her mission is to inform Christians that Christ-like thinking must be intentionally cultivated. She served 25 years as a police officer and 20 years in the military (mostly as a citizen soldier). Currently, Donna serves as the Director of the Criminal Justice Information System for the state in which she resides. 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV) states, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow." When Donna was about to graduate from high school she felt hopeless. Fortunately, Donna had a high school teacher who saw something in her that she did not see in herself. The teacher enrolled Donna in a Summer at Notre Dame: Academic and Leadership Skills, a program designed to prepare young women to be successful in college. Although she was apprehensive, Donna attended the program and earned her very first college credit in Story & Film with one of her lowest college grades ever, a "C". That "C" was a seed planted in rocky soil but sure enough, God has been making it grow. Donna went on to earn an Associate of Arts in General Studies and an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Catonsville Community College. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology and Management from the University of Maryland University College. Donna earned a Master of Science in Management from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Lancaster Bible College. If asked, Donna would enthusiastically state that her degree in management equipped her to improve processes while her degree in ministry equipped her to serve people. Today, Donna is a servant leader who loves to teach Bible study.

In the New Testament of the Bible in the book called the Acts of the Apostles, we see a church and a people impacted by the power of God. These people applied themselves to study the teachings of the church, to prayer and also enjoyed a caring fellowship. This church affected the world around it and great signs and miracles were normal. As Christians today we can and should live the continuation of the Acts of the Apostles and the continuation of the normal church. In the chapters of On the Way: Basic Christian Training, we explain how you become a Christian. We weave verses from the Bible and explanations into a narrative to show you how you can grow into all God intends for you to be. We help you to see how you can experience the power, meaning, and fulfillment only God can bring.

You will learn how to hear God’s voice, that God still does miracles, that demons are real and how to deal with them, and truths about the Kingdom of God, healing, your spiritual authority, spiritual battles, and your armor. Written by a former traditional Baptist pastor, Mull’s unique story is one of God destroying religious constraints, allowing His people to reel in miracles of healing, salvations, and supernatural experiences in the presence of God. His journey will help you overcome skepticism, toss away theological hang-ups you once thought were from God, and stand solidly on biblical principles. This book is filled with amazing real-life stories and practical applications of the same things Jesus taught His 12 disciples. You will be challenged to believe God is able to do more than you have ever imagined!
