Trajectory Management: * moves away from the 'one true way' approach put forward by many business gurus * argues that the search for best practice, best change management, etc. obscures real situations in business * develops principles of right practice for the situation: business is continually evolving and its drivers have to evolve with it. * provides a practical framework and enables diagnosis of where a business trajectory is, and how to sustain or switch trajectories. "Adjusting corporate leadership to different business conditions is key in today's turbulent environment. The systematic review and development of this relationship in Trajectory Management is extremely valuable." Peter A. Wuffli, President of the Group Executive Board, UBS. "In this book, Paul Strebel goes beyond universal best practice that is presumed to apply no matter what the context. He presents the right practice for managing a business trajectory and winning consistently over time." Egon P. Zehnder, Founder, Egon Zehnder International, Inc. "Trajectory Management puts context in its rightful place: at the front, middle and end of business planning and execution. Paul Strebel offers a practical framework to simplify the complex and drive better competitive choices for busy decision makers." John Hofmeister, Director of Human Resources, Shell International B.V. For more on how to use the book see: www.trajectorymanagement.com

Get your entire life on track with an accelerated trajectory Your Trajectory Code is a guide to understanding why you are where you are, and not where you want to be — and how to change it. Once you understand what the trajectory code is, you can gain an accelerated understanding of yourself and others, including family members, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and anyone else. You'll be able to recognize how tiny 1% adjustments can significantly change your trajectory for the rest of your life. Your inner dialogue guides you along your trajectory, and this book will teach you the five fundamental types of people in your consciousness, and how they can either accelerate your rate of success or derail you straight into a trajectory of misery. African Centred Management Education written by David N. Abdulai and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-04-01 with Business & Economics categories.

In African-Centred Management Education, Professor Abdulai looks critically at the failings of management education in Africa and how that has impacted growth and development efforts, especially at this critical stage in the continent’s positive growth and development trajectory. He concludes that Africa’s current positive economic growth cannot be sustained without a significant contribution from its human capital. He adds that, the outstanding economic record of Asian economies in recent decades dramatically illustrates how important human capital is to growth. These countries lacking natural resources and importing practically all their energy requirements have grown rapidly by relying on a well-trained, educated and conscientious workforce. Professor Abdulai believes that Africa, too, can sustain its current growth and development by effectively combining its abundant natural resources with its human capital to attain its economic development, but this will require an African cadre of well-trained managers at the helm of both private and public sector institutions. For this to become a reality, management education in Africa will have to play a significant role, but the author argues that it cannot be effective by continually mimicking the West in the programmes it delivers. It must come up with innovative and relevant pedagogy that will address the special challenges that the continent faces and deliver an African-centred management education. As well as pointing to the failures of management education in Africa, Abdulai offers suggestions as to how to make management education really contribute to the education of Africans, in order to sustain current and future development.

Air Navigation written by Octavian Thor Pleter and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-05-22 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book takes a new approach to air navigation, extending the classic scope of positioning and guidance to efficient and safe 4D flight trajectory management. Modern air navigation aims at flight trajectories optimisation. There is an infinite number of solutions to the classic navigation problem of flying from one airport to another, but most of them are wasteful of resources and even risky. Minimising all costs and risks incurred by the 4D flight trajectory makes air navigation both efficient and safe, which are key factors in air navigation services. Beyond minimising fuel burn and CO2, efficiency addresses non-CO2 emissions and noise. This is a visually intensive book, using examples and case studies to illustrate the concepts, the physics of navigation and the mathematical models involved. Numerical examples reflect its problem-solving nature. It is useful to aerospace students, engineers, pilots, air traffic controllers, technicians, and scientists curious about aviation.
