Multiple dimensions open up as you find yourself traveling on the wings of Gabriel. Transcending on the Wings of Gabriel has connotations in multiple symbolisms. One is from the authors own name; second is of the Archangel Gabriel and the common message of love, compassion and humanity conveyed via the Archangel to all the prophets, seers and sages; the third is of the poetic treatise, Gabriel's Wing, of Sir Muhammed Iqbal. The metaphysical aphorisms of Gabriel Iqbal are like maxims, adages or koans expressed intuitively by the author to attract fresh imagination capacities that are directed towards seeking simple yet in-comprehensive possibilities and proactive solutions. It is a breakthrough in human emancipation and spirit with a creative outlook of empirical science together with unbounded spiritual possibilities and collective well-being for life. In a sea of change that human beings are facing on a regular basis, the barriers between fact and fiction keep on growing, such times necessitate an emancipated metaphysical view of existence that can bridge the gaps and lead us towards fresh inspiration. This collected compilation of Gabriel's metaphysical aphorisms from his various works is a testimony to his efforts in charting out fresh perspectives for achieving collective equanimity and balance.AUTHOR'S WEBSITE: http://www.gabrieliqbal.com

A look into the truth of adolescence and angels; specifically, a mystical account of trans-corporeal cognizance and essence; plus, precise instructions on White Magic; furthermore, a concerete fable that is real, spilling the carnal and spiritual aspects of youth in late 80's America. This volume consists of several contributions to a refined understanding of religious experience in view of contemporary theological epistemology. Diverse sample studies taken from the extensive field of religion, theology and religious studies reveal that 'religious experience' is today clearly a pivotal issue. More specifically, this is made evident in modern theological hermeneutics and in the anti-modern and/or post-modern reactions thereto, the theology of world religions and inter-religious dialogue, the contemporary resurgence of religiosity in Western society and culture, and the so-called turn to religion in contemporary continental philosophy. It would appear from such studies that the category of 'religious experience' is frequently called upon to clarify or explain the phenomenon of religion and religiosity on the one hand and to support and legitimise religious positions or the critique thereof on the other. Because of the loss of plausibility of tradition-bound religiosity and of foundational, so-called onto-theological schemes, 'religious experience' has come to constitute, for many, the last (or latest) point of departure and anchor for religion and religious thinking. This is certainly the case with respect to tendencies within contemporary Christian traditions and theological reflection. In a multitude of ways and from a variety of different perspectives, 'religious experience' and 'experience of transcendence' or 'of the divine' have gained a prominent place in philosophical and fundamental-theological conceptual schemes. In reaction to this, other authors have denied the very primacy given to religious experience in reflecting upon faith, pointing to the constitutive role of tradition and narrative without which there is no religious experience. From all this follows that the category of religious experience is in great need of reconceptualisation, not least from a theological point of view. On the one hand, religious experience is all too easily called upon to legitimise religious claims (often against 'tradition') and on the other hand, the category has become misleading in so far as it is tainted by the modern scientific understanding of experience - in reaction to which 'tradition' is then easily invoked to protect the core of religion. Both young scholars at the preceding junior conference and senior scholars during the conference's paper sessions presented from diverse perspectives new ways to conceive of religious experience in view of today's challenges of secularisation, religious plurality, the aestheticisation of religion, etc. The selected contributions have been arranged in four thematically oriented parts: 'Approaching Religious Experience in a Postmodern Age', 'Modern (re)Thinking of Religious Experience', 'Liberating Religious Experience', and 'Challenges for Spirituality'.

For sceptics, angels may be no more than metaphors: poetic devices to convey, at least for those with a religious sensibility, an active divine interest in creation. But for others, angels are absolutely real creatures: manifestations of cosmic power with the capacity either to enlighten or annihilate those whose awestruck paths they cross. Valery Rees offers the first comprehensive history of these beautiful, enigmatic and sometimes dangerous beings, whose existence and actions have been charted across the eons of time and civilization.Whether exploring the fevered visions of Ezekiel and biblical cherubim; Persian genii; Arab djinn; Islamic archangels; the austere and haunting icons of Andrei Rublev; or Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire and the more benign idea of the watchful guardian angel, the author shows that the ubiquity of these celestial messengers reveals something profound, if not about God or the devil, then about ourselves: our perennial preoccupation with the transcendent.

It all started when she found a naked man standing in her bedroom instead of her pet wolf. Lead guitarist and apprentice mage Sylvis Jagwolfe has always been the quiet member of Rage of Angels. Though she enjoys spending time with her bandmates, she treasures moments of solitude when it’s just her, a guitar, and the wolf that’s been glued to her side lately. However, when battles against the Evil One’s horde accelerate, and her wolf turns out not to be a wolf, Sylvis discovers that she can’t remain in her shell any longer. She must emerge from the shadows, embrace her growing powers, and confront her awakening heart, or risk her side losing a critical alliance in the wars to come.
