Empowering learners for life requires a fundamental shift in higher education curriculum design. New priorities, pedagogies, technologies, spaces, and assessment strategies are required to enable learners to take ownership of their learning. “Student-centeredness” concepts are still prescriptive in nature as most decisions on curriculum, assessment, teaching, and learning approaches are still teacher-centric. Teachers are developing student-centered learning environments without the involvement of the learners in the planning, decision making, and/or design process. In addition, some lecturers are still practicing the traditional approaches of content delivery and conventional assessment methods rather than experimenting with innovative practices suited for student-centered approaches. Therefore, there is an ongoing need for research focused on the importance and effectiveness of a paradigm shift in education that involves student-teacher partnerships, fueled by innovative teaching and learning designs, where students take an active role and contribute as partners in learning. Transforming Curriculum Through Teacher-Learner Partnerships captures experiences and evidence among teachers in exploring the possibility of active student participation in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment through teacher-learner partnership. The chapters address issues of teacher-learner partnerships in designing the learning environment and how student-centered methods create resilient, adaptable, and future-capable learners. While highlighting topics within this scope such as learner autonomy, learning performance, self-efficacy, and teaching pedagogy, this book is ideally intended for teachers, administrators, teacher educators, practitioners, stakeholders, researchers, academicians, and students interested in issues related to the teacher-learner partnership.

Digital content and learning technologies are now the norm at all levels of education. However, there is evidence to suggest that this digital shift is on a spectrum and the spectrum impacts learners in different ways. This means that some instructors who seek to integrate digital content may do so using traditional teaching methods while others use innovative practices to engage learners. Those who integrate innovative digital practices align their instructional practice with theories to facilitate student-centered pedagogies that support and improve the depth and scope of student learning. A primary characteristic of student-centered learning is facilitating collaborative learning using digital content and learning technologies to engage students as well as to enhance meaningful learning. The Handbook of Research on Facilitating Collaborative Learning Through Digital Content and Learning Technologies provides K-20 educators with alternative pedagogical and andragogical models that are innovative and incorporate digital content and learning technologies that promote constructive learning. Further, this book explores the relationship between constructivist learning, digital content, and learning technologies. A primary argument in this book is that constructivist teaching strategies such as collaborative learning coupled with digital content and purposeful learning technologies could benefit student learning in ways that are different from those practiced in traditional, non-digital learning environments. Covering topics such as instructional design, self-efficacy, and library engagement, this major reference work is an essential resource for pre-service teachers, teacher educators, faculty and administrators of K-20 education, librarians, researchers, and academicians.

As globalization advances the exchange of cultural ideas and practices, the exploration of multicultural dimensions in literary and linguistic studies becomes crucial when understanding various cultural narratives and challenging the boundaries of deeply rooted mainstream literary and linguistic frameworks. Multiculturality provides researchers with valuable insights into multiple cultural identities. It encapsulates the experiences and voices of marginalized or overlooked communities and vigorously supports cross-cultural understanding in its constant grip of hybridity and trans culturalism. The fluidity of cultural boundaries and the dynamic nature of cultural identity may manifest the multifaceted aspects of multiculturality that become visible in the intersection of nuanced cultural contexts, patterns and environments of an increasingly interconnected world. Further exploration of multicultural dimensions of literary and linguistic frontiers is necessary when examining the interdependence and reciprocity of diverse, divergent, and convergent cultures. Exploring Multicultural Dimensions of Literary, Linguistic, and Educational Frontiers explores the most relevant theoretical frameworks that underpin the study of multicultural dimensions in literature and linguistics. It examines the dynamic interactions between cultures within diverse literary and linguistic contexts. This book covers topics such as decolonization, literature studies, and sustainable development, and is a useful resource for educators, linguists, history professionals, sociologists, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
