The spiritual-scientific investigator has ... to transform the soul itself into an instrument; then - when his soul is awakened and he can see into a spiritual world - he experiences, on a higher level, a similar great moment as blind people do when, having been operated upon, they look at a world they have not seen before. In a key series of lectures on personal development, Rudolf Steiner explains that the central mission of spiritual science is to enable people to ascend, in full consciousness, to a knowledge of spiritual realities. But given that the means to achieve spiritual perception are now widely available, the danger exists that some individuals will gain access to the spiritual world whilst harbouring impure motives. This can lead to a distorted understanding and vision of that world. Steiner's emphasis, therefore, is on the preparatory steps - the metamorphosis and purification of the human soul - required for achieving true spiritual enlightenment. Life itself teaches and prepares us for progress, and anthroposophy explains and brings this to consciousness. In some of his most lucid lectures, Steiner describes the missions of anger, truth and reverence, the significance of human character, the meaning of asceticism and illness, and the phenomenon of egoism. He also clarifies the differences between Buddhism and Christianity, describes the goal of spiritual science, and makes some esoteric observations about the moon. Throughout the talks Steiner refers to many significant historical figures, including St Augustine, Coleridge, Leonardo da Vinci, Madame Blavatsky, Goethe, Homer, and Shakespeare.

Those who observe human nature with regard to the smallest things will find that everyday experiences can also lead to an understanding of the greatest actualities...' Have you longed for a new, refreshing, inspiring way to view and experience spirituality? Are you curious about how consciousness and spirituality are related to one another? Do you desire a more profound perspective on the integration of science and spirituality? You hold in your hands a unique response to these questions. This is one of three volumes of the compilation of the collected writings of Dr. David Blumenthal. A practicing psychoanalyst, David is a mechanical engineer by training with considerable education in religion and theology. He has written extensively over a thirty-five-year period on his experiences with and observation of psychology, consciousness and spirituality. In these writings you will be challenged to reconsider your view of what you are, what you are not as well as your notions about how you "work." You will learn the secret to a better experience of life. David's discussion of traditional religious notions such as sin, forgiveness, evil, salvation and even Satan (he calls this spiritual force "the adversary") will challenge you to reconsider what these terms mean. The disagreement between evolutionists and creationists melts away with David's scientifically oriented discussion of the difference between process and cause. His explanation of all healing as spiritual is both compelling and hopeful. In short, you have never read anything quite like this. Reading and contemplating what David says will transform your way of living and, with God's grace, your soul. Enjoy!

Soul Transformation written by Donald W Ekstrand and has been published by Xulon Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-09 with Religion categories.

The three steps of salvation in a nutshell are these - becoming a Christian; living the Christian life; and going to heaven. Theologians refer to these three steps as Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification. The first and third steps are instantaneous experiences, but the second step (sanctification) is a life long process whereby the Holy Spirit works in the believer's life to bring about practical holiness and transform his character into the likeness of Christ. It is this second step of salvation with which the believer struggles, because it requires putting to death the deeds of the body (saying "no" to our sin nature), and obeying the promptings of the Holy Spirit (saying "yes" to God) - this is the essence of spiritual warfare. Sadly, most churches in the West today pretty much ignore the issue of Sanctification, and just focus on Justification - either out of ignorance about what Scripture teaches, or out of fear that living a holy life is essentially "legalism." But living a life of obedience to Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with legalism - legalists think they "gain favor with God" by being good, but believers obey Christ out of gratitude because they already "have favor with God!" The "key" to sanctified living is gratitude! The Bible emphatically describes God as being both loving and holy, yet western Christianity primarily focuses on God's love, and says almost nothing at all about His holiness. As such, the central message of most churches is one of love and forgiveness, with scarcely a word being said about holiness and death to sin and self. Satan is thrilled with our one dimensional Christianity, because it essentially leaves believers lukewarm, impotent and ineffectual. This book presents God's blueprint for spiritual development and portrays the "transformational experiences" every believer goes through in life - they include ups and downs, highs and lows, peaks and valleys, joy and suffering, victory and defeat - these experiences are the "norm" for every believer; none of us get a painless, trouble-free road to glory. Incidentally, the material presented in this book reflects the teachings of the most respected Christian theologians since the reformation - individuals the evangelical community has long recognized as being "pillars of the faith." To our lamentable regret, however, these teachings no longer have a prominent place in the vast majority of churches in the West. It is time for believers in America today to reconsider the fullness of God's call upon their lives. Donald W. Ekstrand is a retired pastor, adjunct professor, and author. Dr. Ekstrand holds degrees in finance, business education, theology and divinity, and is a graduate of Arizona State University, Talbot School of Theology, and Western Seminary. He has served as pastor, teacher, ministry consultant, and executive administrator for more than 40 years. Don and his wife, Barbara, have two grown daughters and reside in Phoenix, Arizona

This inspired collection offers a new paradigm for moving the world beyond violence as the first, and often only, response to violence. Through essays and poetry, prayers and meditations, Transforming Terror powerfully demonstrates that terrorist violence—defined here as any attack on unarmed civilians—can never be stopped by a return to the thinking that created it. A diverse array of contributors—writers, healers, spiritual and political leaders, scientists, and activists, including Desmond Tutu, Huston Smith, Riane Eisler, Daniel Ellsberg, Amos Oz, Fatema Mernissi, Fritjof Capra, George Lakoff, Mahmoud Darwish, Terry Tempest Williams, and Jack Kornfield—considers how we might transform the conditions that produce terrorist acts and bring true healing to the victims of these acts. Broadly encompassing both the Islamic and Western worlds, the book explores the nature of consciousness and offers a blueprint for change that makes peace possible. From unforgettable firsthand accounts of terrorism, the book draws us into awareness of our ecological and economic interdependence, the need for connectedness, and the innate human capacity for compassion.

This book is about the possibilities of transforming life from doing to being; the shift of fear to courage, sadness to joy, anger to love, illness to wellness. The basics require you to BE authentic to self, while learning that each person you meet is a mirror reflecting an answer necessary to live life. A symptom can be simple, such as a cold, or as complex as cancer. It is brought on as a message to self that you are no longer living your life. Each symptom is related to a trapped emotional feeling stored in an organ or gland. Low worth enables the emotional feeling to stay in the body, which affects the Energy Field that surrounds us and thus no longer protects us. The Soul has sent a message; first intuitively, second as an illness and finally as a disease. You have the ability to heal naturally as you connect, resolve, forgive and clear the past to become present. Let the Spirit (mind) be the wind beneath your wings, and choose the Soul (heart) as your internal mapping system.
