Physical or mental, good or bad, pleasurable or otherwise, the writer’s endeavour should be to pen in such a way that the reader vicariously experiences the writer’s own experience. The success of a writer presumably depends directly upon the degree at which they are able to achieve this crucial objective. Neither has Bhupender an artistic background nor is he a photography aficionado. But destiny arguably is unpredictable. It sometimes has unplanned ventures to peruse. So probably during one of his regular evening drives from office to home the beauty of the sunset inadvertently captured his imagination, engendering feelings that he says were more romantic than his real romantic encounters. Fascinated with the waves of the sea caressing over the the sand, part of it sinking in and the rest going back to the sea only to return with same vigour, plausibly prodded him to discover a new meaning for courage. He looked up at the sky to realize the incredible vastness of nature that he was part of it now. Saddled himself with a camera, tripod, paper and a pen, and off he goes globe-trotting. To click the little fairylands in the world and collect the scattered jewels of incredible places only to share them with you. A captivating read indeed for both, avid and armchair travellers.

A million things bind us to the repetitive drudgery of our every day lives. Our imagined confines breed a horde of excuses that keep us from stepping outside of the usual, the monotonous, and taking that final step needed to start our travel dreams--the long-term vacation, living overseas dreams. This is a true story of what happens when comfort stays on the tarmac and fades into the distance like a forgotten canvas duffle bag. This is about making sure the bucket list gets completed tomorrow. Throughout her life, Shelby Simpson has abandoned monotony in search of the next great adventure. She has visited 39 countries and lived in seven--traveling from the surreal beaches of Fiji to the winding halls of a Bolivian prison, and to dozens of locations in between. Each new destination reveals a new story, a tasty local cocktail, and a piece of a powerful truth: Fear is the only barrier to discovering that people are really all the same. This book is a glimpse at the wonders we can discover when we find the courage to take that first step to travel outside of our comfort zone. There are belly laughs, panicked gasps, and awed silences to be had in every corner of this magical globe. All it takes is a little gumption, a shot (or five) of vodka, and the goodness inherent in people everywhere.

As a student of Ole Miss University in her course of international studies Anastasia travelled two continents: Latin America in 2011 and Europe in 2012. Here is the quote from her book: "...person who chooses to travel is one affected with wanderlust. This person wants to see life as it exists outside of his culture. He travels with an open mind and open eyes and is ready to see and accept other cultural traditions without derisive sneering and comparing other cultures to his own. He does not challenge or dare the world - he challenges himself to learn and understand life in our diverse and awe-inspiring planet. This person is excited about meeting new people and making friends in places other than his comfort zone because people are the key to understanding other cultures." And one more quotation of the author: "...my experiences... allowed me to develop a different attitude about life. In many ways, this was the transition into adulthood... The biggest thing that I learned from this summer is to trust and respect myself..."

Excerpt from Spring Days in Two Hemispheres ON the rear platform of a west-bound Pullman we stood, a party of four, watching the fast receding forms of friends and relatives. With our arms filled with flowers, candy, and books, and our eyes bright with anticipation, we had set out to overtake Spring on her yearly pilgrimage around the world, and to travel hand in hand with her over land and sea. Belt ing the earth seemed, at the beginning of our jour ney, a gigantic undertaking, but perils which then loomed threateningly as we parted from our loved ones were to become dwarfed as the days passed. I shall now give a particular description of a house of a middling size, from which, as the structure is univcrsally the same, a perfect idea may be formed both of those that are bigger, and those that are less. The ground which it covers is an oblong square, four and twenty feet long, and eleven wide; over this a roof is raised, upon three rows of pillars or posts, parallel to each other, one on each side, and the other in the middle. This roof consists of two flat sides inclining to each other, and termi ' and his wife fleep in them alone. nating-in a ridge, exactly..like the roofs of our thatched houses in England. The utmost height within is about nine feet, and the eaves on each fide reach to within about three feet and an half of theground: below this, and through the Whole height at' each end, itfis' open, no part of it being inclosed with a wall. _ The roof is thatched with palm-leaves, and the floor is covered, some inches deep, with soft hay; over this are laid mats, so that'the whole is one Cushion, upon which they sit in the day, and sleep in the night. In some houses, however, there is one stool, which is wholly appropriated to the master of' the family; besides this, they' have no furniture, except a few little blocks of wood, the upper side of which s-iszhollowed into a curve, and which serve them for pill_ows.
