Tourism is a catch word of twentieth century world and a fastest growing but pollution less industry ever adopted by the world. By the early twenty first century international Tourism had become one of the world’s most important economic activities. Countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Switzerland, Indonesia, Srilanka and Singapore are running their economy by the tourism industry. Tourism is also a growing industry in India. As India is a multi-cultural and colorful country with large number of historical monuments, natural beauties and diversity in language, food habit and dress, so it has been rightly said that “nowhere in the world is found, such a beauty, different and diversified climate, flora, fauna, religions, languages, dialects, dressing patterns, life style and rituals, like India”. India has more potential for developing Tourism industry. In India tourism is not limited to certain sites and spots. Country sides within local colours, health sector and environment are also touched by Tourism. It is like a garland of multicolored flowers which can easily attract foreign tourists to explore new places and experience the change. Tourism promotes international relations, provides direct financial benefit and employment to youths. Tourism can be domestic and international, including both incoming and outgoing. Its importance was recognized in the Manila Declaration on World Tourism of 1980 as “an activity essential to the life of nations because of its direct effects on the social, cultural, educational and economic sectors of national societies and on their international relations.” Tribal tourism also contributes a lot to the socio, cultural and economic sectors of Odisha as well as India. This book “Tourism treasures of Tribal Tracts” is a product of the field study of the Author to the most parts of tribal districts of Odisha. It is written in a simple language and lucid style with picturesque chapters appreciable to all.

This book gives biblical and historical information about the Biblical Hebrew Israelites (children of Israel/12 Tribes) and how the Most High made a covenant with them and they disobeyed him, thus causing the fall of them. I believe that the suffering and challenges that the so-called Negroes of American and the 12 Tribes did not happen accidentally. Until the so called Negroes of American and the 12 Tribes around the world come back to their true Nationality and knowledge of the God of Israel, then can we become that mighty and powerful nation that we was in biblical times. I believe that this book will fill in the missing facts about the true identity and heritage of the so called Negroes of America and the 12 Tribes throughout the world. The real truth has been hidden, distorted and suppressed by the enemies of the Most High chosen people.

Voice Of The Tribes written by Thomas A. Britten and has been published by University of Oklahoma Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-05-07 with History categories.

The 1960s and 1970s were a time of radical change in U.S. history. During these turbulent decades, Native Americans played a prominent role in the civil rights movement, fighting to achieve self-determination and tribal sovereignty. Yet they did not always agree on how to realize their goals. In 1971, a group of tribal leaders formed the National Tribal Chairmen’s Association (NTCA) to advocate on behalf of reservation-based tribes and to counter the more radical approach of the Red Power movement. Voice of the Tribes is the first comprehensive history of the NTCA from its inception in 1971 to its 1986 disbandment. Scholars of Native American history have focused considerable attention on Red Power activists and organizations, whose confrontational style of advocacy helped expose the need for Indian policy reform. Lost in the narrative, though, are the achievements of elected leaders who represented the nation’s federally recognized tribes. In this book, historian Thomas A. Britten fills that void by demonstrating the important role that the NTCA, as the self-professed “voice of the tribes,” played in the evolution of federal Indian policy. During the height of its influence, according to Britten, the NTCA helped implement new federal policies that advanced tribal sovereignty, protected Native lands and resources, and enabled direct negotiations between the United States and tribal governments. While doing so, NTCA chairs deliberately distanced themselves from such well-known groups as the American Indian Movement (AIM), branding them as illegitimate—that is, not “real Indians”—and viewing their tactics as harmful to meaningful reform. Based on archival sources and extensive interviews with both prominent Indian leaders and federal officials of the period, Britten’s account offers new insights into American Indian activism and intertribal politics during the height of the civil rights movement.
