Is freedom achievable? I believe it is. This freedom is the freedom to live true to your self, and includes: 1. The freedom to live a life of greatness that is in alignment with your purpose. 2. The freedom to profit & prosper on your own terms doing what you love. 3. The freedom to escape whatever restrictions and limitations you feel have been imposed on you. 4. The freedom to love honestly and true to your self. 5. The freedom to live a healthy life and actually age less than you do now. That's the simple idea. It may not be easy to achieve given how much of the society is geared towards keeping us poor, enslaved and unhealthy, but it is achievable. As a coach, I’ve discovered there are several conversations I repeatedly have with individuals who are at various stages of creating lives of freedom, so I’ve put them all into this one resource. Those conversations are: (introduction) "Something different is possible," (1) "What is freedom?" (2) "Your purpose is where it all begins," (3) "You CAN turn your passion into profit," (4) "The trouble with capitalism," (5) "The Tao of Shawshank," (6) "The carrot conversation" and (7) "The freedom to love true to your self" Over the course of these seven conversations, I’ll share some ideas, proven strategies that serve as introductions to the books in the various life enhancement series in my catalog. This is my manifesto for what's achievable.

Author of the masterpieces Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell, the nom de plume of Eric Arthur Blair, experienced, explored and explained some of the defining political, economic and social traumas of his time – predicaments that have, and will always be, part of Man’s infatuation with power and power politics. Orwell’s experiences of colonial exploitation in Burma, extreme poverty in Paris, London and the industrial North, and the horrors of ideological deceit and betrayal during the Spanish Civil War fashioned his literary persona, his political canon and influenced his vision of a future dystopia. This book explores Orwell’s journey to dystopia, using his major texts as milestones, and also examines the author as a divided self and as a chronicler of his age on a fateful journey to dystopia. Furthermore, it investigates his responses to the use of what he calls ‘force and/or fraud’ in the politics of his time, seeking a new understanding of the tensions and contradictions that characterise his writing. The analyses explain how authoritarian systems and totalitarian regimes manipulate power and employ pretence in order to divide the self and force individuals and society into obedience. The book argues that new insight into Orwell’s political views is gained by investigating Niccolò Machiavelli’s The Prince, where Machiavelli uses the phrase ‘force or fraud’ to encourage totalitarian tactics in running a State. Milestones on the Road to Dystopia: Interpreting George Orwell’s Self-Division in an Era of ‘Force and Fraud’ presents new insights that interpret the close relationship between self-division, paradox and the use of a pseudonym, demonstrating how they help in understanding Orwell’s character, works and the nature of totalitarian politics. Analysing self-division, both as an Orwellian trait and as a totalitarian strategy, and finding a connection with Machiavelli, against the milieu of Orwell’s development as a writer, is an intricate and interrelated topic that has not previously received critical attention, either in its individual parts or as an integrated study. This book establishes an essential template with which to analyse Orwell’s self-division apropos his growing fears of totalitarian power politics, and offers distinct analytical acumens that allow for an updated understanding of Orwell and of his relevance to political thought and the question of ‘common decency’ in twenty-first century literature and politics.

How constructions of time shape political beliefs about what is possible--and what is inevitable To secure power in a crisis, leaders must sell deep change as a means to future good. But how could we know the future? Nomi Claire Lazar draws on stories across a range of cultures and contexts, ancient and modern, to show how leaders use constructions of time to frame events. These frames carry an implicit promise to secure or subvert an expected future, shaping belief in what is possible--and what is inevitable. "Ranging imaginatively across history and geography, this elegant book probes temporal sources of order and transformation. Its analytical wisdom discloses how calendars and representations of time shape political legitimacy, dispositions, and action."--Ira I. Katznelson, author of Fear Itself: The New Deal and the Origins of Our Time "Great political leaders, for good or ill, seek to shape our daily lives by playing with time itself. That is the central insight of this elegant, erudite volume, one that means I will henceforth listen to speeches and manifestos with new ears and new tools to rebut them."--Anne-Marie Slaughter, President and CEO, New America "Nomi Lazar gives us a fascinating exploration of the political construction of time itself, as structured by calendars, dating systems, and other mechanisms used for legitimation, revolution, and a myriad of other political purposes. A memorable and endlessly interesting book."--Adrian Vermeule, Harvard Law School

Rudolf Steiner S Pedagogy Of Imagination written by Thomas William Nielsen and has been published by Peter Lang this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004 with Holistic education categories.

This book investigates the concept and practises of imaginative teaching. Since Rudolf Steiner (founder of the Waldorf schools) wrote extensively on the subject and is renowned for his contributions to education, his work is used to develop insights into the nature of 'imaginative teaching'. Given the societal changes since Steiner's time, however, the topic is further developed by examining imaginative teaching in three Steiner primary classrooms, using the methodological means of ethnography and phenomenology. The insights gained from this undertaking are used to re-theorise aspects of Steiner's writings about imagination and holistic education. In this study it is argued that imaginative teaching is made up of three modes of pedagogy and seven teaching methods, and that these modes and methods form a most potent means for connecting children with aesthetic, intellectual and physical development.
