This volume examines the question of the validity or nullity of Jorge Bergoglio's and Pope Benedict XVI's claims on the papacy, according to the same criteria as employed by St. Bernard of Clairvaux (canonical validity of election and orthodoxy in faith) in his examination of the claims of Innocent II and Anacletus II on the papacy. In this work I systematically present the case against Jorge Mario "Francis" Bergoglio, and prove that Benedict XVI is still the only legitimate claimant to the papal throne and sole holder of the Petrine munus at the present time. This volume also presents a summary of the main points of the Catholic doctrine on papal heresy in a compressed form, with new material and arguments explaining points which were only touched upon in the first volume, such as the essential distinction between episcopal and papal authority, so as to make the Church's doctrine on the question of papal heresy more easily and clearly understandable. True And False Reform In The Church written by Yves Congar and has been published by Liturgical Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-12-01 with Religion categories.

Archbishop Angelo Roncali (later Pope John XXIII) read True and False Reform during his years as papal nuncio in France and asked, A reform of the church 'is such a thing really possible?" A decade later as pope, he opened the Second Vatican Council by describing its goals in terms that reflected Congar's description of authentic reform: reform that penetrates to the heart of doctrine as a message of salvation for the whole of humanity, that retrieves the meaning of prophecy in a living church, and that is deeply rooted in history rather than superficially related to the apostolic tradition. Pope John called the council not to reform heresy or to denounce errors but to update the church's capacity to explain itself to the world and to revitalize ecclesial life in al its unique local manifestations. Congar's masterpiece fills in the blanks of what we have been missing in our reception of the council and its call to "true reform." Yves Congar, OP, a French Dominican who died in 1995, was the most important ecclesiologist in modern times. His writings and his active participation in Vatican II had an immense influence upon the council documents. With a few other contemporaries, Congar pioneered a new style of theological research and writing that linked the great tradition of Scripture and the Fathers to contemporary pastoral questions with lucidity and passion. His key concerns were the unity of the church, lay apostolic life, and a revival of the church's theology of the Holy Spirit. He was named a cardinal by Pope John Paul II in recognition of his profound contributions to the Second Vatican Council. Pal Philibert, OP, has taught pastoral theology in the United States and abroad. He is a Dominican friar of the Southern Province. His translation of a collection of Congar's essays on the liturgy has recently been published by Liturgical Press under the title At the Heart of Christian Worship. His book The Priesthood of the Faithful: Key to a living Church (Liturgical Press, 2005) reflects the ecclesiology of Yves Congar and his Vision of the apostolic life of the faithful. "

Excerpt from The True and the False Infallibility of the Popes: A Controversial Reply to Dr. Schulte Entitled by the good Bishop himself The True and False Infallibility of the Pope, it presents to the reader a perfect repertorium' of all the stock objections and erroneous representations, both as regards the doctrine itself, and as regards the history of previous Papal rescripts and acts, that the fertile mind and ex tensive reading of Dr. Schulte, Professor of Canon and German Law in the University of Prague, could ingeniously pile together and misconstrue, in order to bring odium upon all Papal Bulls and Papal acts from, as he says, the time of Pope Gregory VII. Did Christ found His Church on St. Peter? Was Peter prince of the Apostles and visible head of the Church? Was he infallible in his doctrinal teaching? Had he the power to make laws that bind all Christians? Was he the first bishop of Rome? Were his privileges communicated by divine law to succeeding Roman Pontiffs? Is there a consensus on the answer to these questions discernible in the New Testament and in the Early Fathers and Councils? No one could be better qualified than Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930) to answer these questions. Distinguished for his learning and holiness, he was selected by Pope St. Pius X as his right hand man and spent his adult life in the most senior Vatican posts. This book, written in reply to Protestant propaganda, effortlessly sweeps away errors and misunderstandings leaving the truth plain to any sincere reader. It quotes all the major sources of the early centuries. An ideal book to instruct Catholics or convert Protestants.

In 1789, the French Revolution took place and launched a host of religious, political and social errors which the Popes for over 160 years wrote and legislated against. Yet most of these errors have today filtered down to the common man . . . with the result that most people now take for granted many fundamental assumptions that are positively false! But almost from the beginning of these errors, the Popes spoke out as with one voice, inveighing against them.
