We think what we think (about ourselves) because we have reasons to believe our thinking is right. The reasons why we believe our thinking is right forms the reasoning of our mind that influences our thinking. So, we think our conviction based on our reasoning. Our reasoning is a result of our perspective. And, our perspective is a function of our position and view-point. What we see about ourselves and life depends on how we look. What we see depends on how we look. So, our view-point is a culture of thought instilled in or imposed on us by the school of thought that creates in us the mind of our heart. the point is, the school of thought where we belong, whose view of life we share, gives us the reasons why we should think the way we do, and thereby makes us think the way we do. But, why do we believe the truth which our school of thought gives us reasons to believe? Every school of thought understands the nature of the human mind. Let me share it with you.The human mind is wired to respond to truth. But first, the mind has to accept as truth a point or assertion or proposition or premise, before respond to it. To discern the truth, the mind reasons it out. The mind is by nature logical, rational and analytical. Now, anything presented to the mind in a way that appeals to the logic of the mind, the mind accepts as truth. Hence, the mind can be easily deceived, wooed, enticed and lured into accepting a fact or point as truth. This is the nature of the mind. Hence, without knowing it, because we often have to relate with things that sound logical and reasonable, we are thereby deceived. This unfortunately was the way the Serpent deceived Eve. And, anybody can be as much brainwashed or beguiled. So, what is called TRUTH is a sensitive 'thought'.So, this book is aimed at giving you reasons why you should think in the light of a TRUTH that is divine, and thereby renew your reasoning and re-direct your conviction. TRUTH has grades of correctness; but, I want to introduce you to the HIGHEST TRUTH. This book wants to change your perspective about yourself and about life. This book will plant you in a new school of thought. This book will lift your mind from one level of crude logic to the transcending logic and the highest thought of the divine. For example, God created you in His image and likeness, showing that you are like God. You are the likes of God. You and God are alike. And, Jesus said, 'you are god!' This is one of the lines of truth for instance that this book wants to bring you into. This book will take you through seven factors that influence your thought, response and behavior in life (as regards success or failure that you are influenced to have happen to you.) the seven are: perspective, reasoning, conviction, attitude/thinking, feeling, acting and being. This book will change your thought and give you a new life. This book promises more than your imagination can ever capture.

Truth And Interpretation written by Luigi Pareyson and has been published by State University of New York Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-09-04 with Philosophy categories.

A resolute defense of philosophy and hermeneutics against the threats of dogmatism and relativism. Luigi Pareyson (1918–1991) was one of the most important Italian philosophers to emerge after World War II and stands shoulder to shoulder with fellow hermeneutic thinkers Hans-Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur. The product of a well-developed theory of interpretation that stretches back to the late 1940s, his 1971 masterpiece Truth and Interpretation provides the historical impetus and theoretical framework for the questions of existence, art, and politics that would motivate his most famous students, Umberto Eco and Gianni Vattimo. In a time when the meaning of truth as an interpretation is challenged by the chaotic din of media on the one side and the violent force of absolute claims from science, religion, and political economy on the other, Pareyson’s meditation on the value of thinking that is shaped by the traditions of philosophy and yet responds to contemporary demands remains timely and pressing more than forty years after its initial publication. Robert T. Valgenti is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Lebanon Valley College. Silvia Benso is Professor of Philosophy at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
