Here, we report the results of the femtoscopic analysis of pairs of identical pions measured in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV. Femtoscopic radii are determined as a function of event multiplicity and pair momentum in three spatial dimensions. As in the pp collision system, the analysis is complicated by the presence of sizable background correlation structures in addition to the femtoscopic signal. The radii increase with event multiplicity and decrease with pair transverse momentum. When taken at comparable multiplicity, the radii measured in p-Pb collisions, at high multiplicity and low pair transverse momentum, are 10%-20% higher than those observed in pp collisions but below those observed in A-A collisions. The results are compared to hydrodynamic predictions at large event multiplicity as well as discussed in the context of calculations based on gluon saturation.

The size of the particle emission region in high-energy collisions can be deduced using the femtoscopic correlations of particle pairs at low relative momentum. Such correlations arise due to quantum statistics and Coulomb and strong final state interactions. In this paper, results are presented from femtoscopic analyses of [pi]± [pi]±, K± K±, K$0\atop{S}$K$0\atop{S}$, pp, and $\overline{p}$ $\overline{p}$ correlations from Pb-Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV by the ALICE experiment at the LHC. One-dimensional radii of the system are extracted from correlation functions in terms of the invariant momentum difference of the pair. The comparison of the measured radii with the predictions from a hydrokinetic model is discussed. The pion and kaon source radii display a monotonic decrease with increasing average pair transverse mass mT which is consistent with hydrodynamic model predictions for central collisions. Lastly, the kaon and proton source sizes can be reasonably described by approximate mT scaling.

The yields of the K*(892)0 and [Phi](1020) resonances are measured in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76 TeV through their hadronic decays using the ALICE detector. The measurements are performed in multiple centrality intervals at mid-rapidity (

We present measurements of bottomonium production in heavy-ion and p+p collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The inclusive yield of the three [Upsilon] states, [Upsilon](1S+2S+3S), was measured in the PHENIX experiment via electron-positron decay pairs at midrapidity for Au+Au and p+p collisions at sNN=200 GeV. The [Upsilon](1S+2S+3S)→e+e- differential cross section at midrapidity was found to be Beed[sigma]/dy=108±38(stat)±15(syst)±11(luminosity) pb in p+p collisions. The nuclear modification factor in the 30% most central Au+Au collisions indicates a suppression of the total [Upsilon] state yield relative to the extrapolation from p+p collision data. In conclusion, the suppression is consistent with measurements made by STAR at RHIC and at higher energies by the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.

It has been debated for decades whether hadrons emerging from p+p collisions exhibit collective expansion. The signal of the collective motion in p+p collisions is not as clear as in heavy-ion collisions because of the low multiplicity and large fluctuation in p+p collisions. Tsallis Blast-Wave (TBW) model is a thermodynamic approach, introduced to handle the overwhelming correlation and fluctuation in the hadronic processes. We have systematically studied the identified particle spectra in p+p collisions from RHIC to LHC using TBW and found no appreciable radial flow in p+p collisions below √s = 900 GeV. At LHC higher energy of 7 TeV in p+p collisions, the radial flow velocity achieves an average of ([beta]) = 0.320 ± 0.005. This flow velocity is comparable to that in peripheral (40-60%) Au+Au collisions at RHIC. In addition, breaking of the identified particle spectra mT scaling was also observed at LHC from a model independent test.

The world experimental data on cross section and kinematic distribution in p + p and p + A collisions at √s = 6.8 - 7000 GeV are systematically examined in this work. The √s dependence of the inclusive cross section, rapidity, and transverse momentum distributions are studied phenomenologically. Also, we explore empirical formulas to obtain the total cross section, rapidity, and transverse momentum (pT) distribution. This is crucial for the interpretation of A + A J/[psi] results at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider when the p + p reference data are not available. In addition, the cross section at midrapidity and transverse momentum distributions in p + p collisions at √s = 39 and 62.4 GeV are evaluated.
