This book started as an article I wrote to our local newspaper in 2007 titled What I Believe the newspaper was asking people s to write what they believe, at the time I was a member of a church group and I tried to ask the members to write something that they think or believe we should do to better our group. Nobody listened to me so I decided to write my own belief in life, I sent it and early in 2008 I received a call from the newspaper asking if they could take my picture for the article. The editor after reading and editing my work gave the heading Understanding God s Ways and it was published in May 2008. The heading inspired me to continue to help me, guide and protect me. I hope after reading my story you will be inspired to write what you believe and help you live what you believe.

Understanding God's Sabbath is a simple, systematic study of one of the most important, yet grossly misunderstood doctrines of the Bible. It is a fascinating journey, which traces the Sabbath from its origins in creation to its place in redemption. The reader is led, step by step, through the history of the Sabbath. This book looks at the Sabbath from the perspectives of the Bible, history and contemporary world affairs. Understanding God's Sabbath answers such questions as: What is the Sabbath? Should we keep the Sabbath? What role does the Sabbath play in my life? Is the Sabbath Saturday or Sunday? Is the Sabbath important today? Was the Sabbath really nailed to the cross? Can we choose any day for the Sabbath? Who tried to change the Sabbath and why? Whom should I believe on the matter of the Sabbath? The answers to these questions will enlighten and intrigue you. As you trace the footsteps of the prophets, Jesus, the disciples and the early church, you will come to the true meaning of the Sabbath. When you examine current world affairs, you will discover that the Sabbath is playing a crucial role in determining where you will spend eternity. Understanding God's Sabbath demystifies the concept of why and to whom God gave the Sabbath. It will illuminate the mind and draw you into a closer to walk with God. Understanding God's Sabbath is ultimately an appeal for the reader to worship the only true God, the God of creation. You will be challenged and blessed by Understanding God's Sabbath.

Understanding God is an examination of the damaging effects of thinking you need to perform "works" to get God to love you, using the author's life as a case study. This work examines the journey from faith to disbelief and back to faith by finally hearing with great clarity the good and gracious word that God is communicating to us. Tom Cleary was raised Catholic and explains his upbringing in that world in a way that will illuminate what it is to be raised full-immersion Catholic, with all its uniqueness and eccentricities, and under the thrall of having to perform works to earn God's grace. This work also examines in detail the invidious prevalence of works righteousness in the Protestant world and how it got there, with a historical journey that examines in plain language the theological traps that led so many Protestants down this road throughout the centuries. Understanding God concludes with a call to return to the good news of simply believing in the radical, new thing God has done through His Son and to reach out specifically to those who have given up, thinking that there isn't any good news to hear about Jesus the Christ. Understanding God will amuse, sadden, enrage, enlighten, and ultimately challenge you to accept the simple desire of God to have His children believe in Him and His love and forgiveness of us.

Scripture reveals a God who meets us where we are, not where we pretend to be. No More Faking Fine is your invitation to get honest with God through the life-giving language of lament. If you've ever been given empty clichés during challenging times, you know how painful it is to be misunderstood by well-meaning people. When life hurts, we often feel pressure--from others and ourselves--to keep it together, suck it up, or pray it away. But Scripture reveals a God who lovingly invites us to give honest voice to our emotions when life hits hard. For most of her life, Esther Fleece Allen believed she could bypass the painful emotions of her broken past by shutting them down altogether. She was known as an achiever and an overcomer on the fast track to success. But in silencing her pain, she robbed herself of the opportunity to be healed. Maybe you've done the same. Esther's journey into healing began when she discovered that God has given us a real-world way to deal with raw emotions and an alternative to the coping mechanisms that end up causing more pain. It's called lament--the gut-level, honest prayer that God never ignores, never silences, and never wastes. No More Faking Fine is your permission to lament, taking you on a journey down the unexpected pathway to true intimacy with God. Drawing from careful biblical study and hard-won insight, Esther reveals how to use God's own language to come closer to him as he leads us through our pain to the light on the other side, teaching you that: We are robbing ourselves of a divine mystery and a divine intimacy when we pretend to have it all together God does not expect us to be perfect; instead, he meets us where we are There is hope beyond your heartache, disappointment, and grief Like Esther, you'll soon find that when one person stops faking fine, it gives everyone else permission to do the same.

Everyone struggles with questions like, "How can I know if I'm pursuing God's will or my own?" In this book, pastor Kyle Lake suggests that God's will for a person's life isn't as formulaic as it's often made out to be. This book alleviates ambiguities about God's desires for our lives. Through the use of scriptural metaphors such as discipleship, kingdom and fatherhood, this message empowers people to make wise decisions with the guidance of a God who is not a genie, an insurance policy nor a dominator.

Why do Christians believe as they do? How do we know Jesus was the Messiah? What does God expect of us? What happens after death? Is there really a heaven and a hell? Why does God allow evil in the world, permitting bad things to happen to good people? This collection of essential verses from Scripture and the accompanying commentaries will help answer these and other fundamental questions. The sixty-six books of the Bible are an integrated message system from God: a message to mankind from the creator of all things. It is the best selling book of all time, yet most copies sit unread. This is due, in part, to the fact that wading through so many pages of spiritually inspired and purposefully encrypted material can be intimidating. This new guide to the Bible offers a solution for those eager to understand God's message and develop a closer relationship with Him. It holds a collection of inspirational verses selected from all sixty-six books of Scripture, cataloged under more than 100 specific subject headings.

Discerning Understanding God S Will For Your Life written by Osbourne Murray and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-02-13 with Religion categories.

The book is about the importance of knowing God’s will for one’s life, which is paramount in having a harmonious and fulfilling relationship with God. When there’s uncertainty concerning the will of God in any aspect of one’s existence, it results to confusion and anxiety. Too many Christians go through life and never realize God’s perfect will during their sojourn in time. In doing so, believers are robbed of the privilege of experiencing God’s best for their lives. It also deprives them of having an overcoming, fruitful, spirit-filled, joyful, and peaceful life. Not discerning God’s perfect will for your life will cause you to live far below your rights and privileges in Christ. The recognition of God’s purpose for your life will provide a sense of identity, belongingness, vocation, and guidance, which serves to connect you to a higher purpose—the Kingdom of God. The truth is that not much attention is paid to this very critical area of Christianity today. However, it is the very heart of efficient and authentic Christian living. Without a clear understanding of God’s will in one’s life, one may feel like or even become a square peg in a round hole, especially as it pertains to identifying the appropriate ministries and where to serve effectively in the body of Christ.
