Born in India, raised in Italy and Great Britain, James Strachey Barnes (1890-1955) was Secretary-General of the International Centre of Fascist Studies in Lausanne and a personal friend of Benito Mussolini. In the two books grouped in this volume, Barnes sets out to define the philosophy, the worldview (Weltanschauung) and the principles underlying fascism in which he sees a return to medieval values and a spiritual and moral revolt against the causes of the modern decay, namely materialism, subjectivism and individualism. A fervent Catholic, he also demonstrates the perfect compatibility of this doctrine with the teaching of the Church. This republication is enriched with a foreword by Roberto Fiore, a founding member of the Third Position movement and current National Secretary of Forza Nuova and President of the Pan-European nationalist political party Alliance for Peace and Freedom.

This book argues and demonstrates that fascism did happen in contemporary society such as especially America, as during post-2016. It classifies and discusses the main elements of fascism to see if these reveal and replicate themselves in America post-2016. It discovers the specific syndromes of fascism in America post-2016 that reveal and replicate universal fascist features. It detects the main social causes of fascism in America post-2016. It identifies primary counterforces to fascism in America and elsewhere. Lastly, the book constructs a composite fascism index and calculates fascism indexes for Western and comparable societies like OECD countries. These indexes provide suggestive evidence that fascism happened in America and other OECD countries, even if not in Western Europe, especially Scandinavia.

The year 1932, the tenth anniversary of Mussolini’s March on Rome, was fascism’s Decennale. Commemorating Italian fascism’s seizure of power, the Decennale was celebrated by the regime in a deliberate attempt to radicalize the original movement and develop it into an imperial and racist regime. In Mussolini’s Decennale, Antonio Morena explores a cross-section of Italian culture during the Decennale. Studying literature, speeches, documentaries, films, textbooks, and the 1932 Exhibition, he discusses how the regime, its patrons, and even its critics all appropriated the historical events of 1922 for their political advantage. Positioning the 1932 anniversary celebrations as the crux of the fascist transition from conservatism to totalitarianism, Mussolini’s Decennale broadens our understanding of fascist ideology, cultural politics, and Realpolitik.

Benito Mussolini was an Italian politician, teacher, and journalist who wrote for left-wing newspapers. He enlisted in the army, rising to the rank of sergeant. In 1922, he organized the "March on Rome," and with the support of King Victor Emmanuel III, he took over the cabinet as the Prime Minister of Italy. In 1925, Mussolini became " Il Duce" (the supreme leader of Italy). Mussolini founded the National Fascist Party and became the most representative politician of fascist ideology. In " The Doctrine of Fascism," Mussolini synthesizes fascist doctrine and its principles while also pointing out what he considers the limitations of other ideologies such as liberalism and socialism.

A Primer Of Italian Fascism written by Jeffrey Thompson Schnapp and has been published by U of Nebraska Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000-01-01 with Political Science categories.

A Primer of Italian Fascism makes available for the first time in English translation the key documents pertaining to one of our century?s defining mass political movements. Whereas existing anthologies survey Fascist writings in a multiplicity of national settings, A Primer of Italian Fascism opts for a tightly focused, in-depth approach that emphasizes the development of Fascist ideology in the country of its birth. ø Historically speaking, Italian Fascism was the original Fascism. The model for subsequent movements including Nazism, Falangism, and Integralism, Italian Fascism set out to define a ?third way? to modernization known as ?corporatism.? A Primer of Italian Fascism situates the rise and fall of corporatist ideals within the framework of the actual history of Mussolini?s movement and regime. It includes not only classic doctrinal statements such as Mussolini?s ?Foundations and Doctrine of Fascism? and writings by corporatist theorists such as Bottai, Pellizzi, Rocco, and Spirito, but also an array of fundamental political and juridical documents, including the party platforms adopted by the Fascist combat brigades, the 1938 Manifesto of Race, the 1940 Manifesto of Verona, and the Fascist labor and school charters. By making available such an extensive array of source texts, A Primer of Italian Fascism aims to open up for the English reader a more complex and complete vision of Fascism, both in Italy and beyond.

The Dawn Of Universal History written by Raymond Aron and has been published by Basic Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-06-16 with Philosophy categories.

In this collection of essays written over a period of almost forty years, Raymond Aron explores the rise of nationalism in Europe through the two world wars and the subsequent disintegration of her empires. With a richness of detail and sweeping breadth of historical examples, he chronicles and analyzes the history of the opposite ideological extremes of Fascism and Marxism and their descent into totalitarianism via secular religiosity. Aron also examines French imperialism through the examples of Algeria and Indochina, as well as America's role as an "imperial republic" during and after World War II. Aron was never orthodox in his ideology; neither his republican political penchants nor his dialectical intellectual orientation ever gained the upper hand over his devotion to empirical reality. The result here is an intellectual history that seems less concerned about where it falls on the political spectrum than about getting it right.
