This book is the second greatly expanded edition of the previous booklet "Quantum Entanglement and the Collective Unconscious". From the happy marriage between quantum physics and Carl Jung's collective unconscious, a new metaphysics of the universe is born and a place emerges in which matter and spirit collaborate and are guided by cosmic synchronicities to lead man towards incredible evolutionary projects. Carl Jung and Wolfgang Pauli worked respectively in the field of psyche and in that of matter. These two sectors are considered absolutely incompatible with each other. In fact, scientific materialism denies the existence of any psychic component in the known universe. Despite the enormous distance between their disciplines, the two scientists established a collaboration that lasted more than twenty years. During that period they never stopped looking for a "unifying element", capable of reconciling, on a scientific level, the reasons of the psychic dimension with those of the material dimension. Unfortunately, they did not achieve this in their lifetime, but they were prophets of a new scientific interpretation of the universe. In fact, the evolution of knowledge in the field of quantum physics, and above all the experimental confirmations of phenomena such as quantum entanglement, re-evaluate their theories. Today the idea of a universe that is not divided into "material objects" emerges strongly. The universe is not divided but consists of a single reality, made up of spirit and matter. This is the reality that Jung and Pauli called "Unus mundus". Matter and psyche have equal dignity and together contribute to the existence of the universe. Lo psichiatra Viktor Frankl ha colto parte del ruolo della coscienza, quello di dare un senso alla propria vita, alla vita di tutti. Ma in realtà la coscienza permetterebbe anche di dare senso alla Vita nell'Universo. Se l'uomo ha un posto nel progetto dell'Universo, lo occuperà solo elevandosi all'altezza di questo destino. Sappiamo che non stiamo creando l'ordine dell'Universo, ma stiamo crescendo nella nostra consapevolezza di quell'ordine che è già lì. Si riesce a percepire che nulla è definitivamente acquisito in questa ascesa e che le regressioni sono troppo frequenti e sempre senza speranza. La nostra civiltà umana è fragile, fallibile e in via di autodistruzione, per mancanza di sufficiente consapevolezza. L'Analisi esistenziale di Frankl costituisce soprattutto una riflessione sulla condizione umana, sottolineando l'urgenza di distinguere tra determinismo e libero arbitrio, materia e spirito. Frankl era convinto che la specificità dell'uomo risiedesse nella sua dimensione dello spirito, che si esprimeva in questa coscienza portatrice di libertà, responsabilità e bisogno di senso. Se oggi il pensiero di Frankl seduce rispondendo a una certa domanda crescente di ricerca di significato o di spiritualità, respinge anche per la sua altra dimensione, ma inseparabile, di responsabilità e libertà. Questo pensiero, però, non disdegna in alcun modo coloro che soffrono, vittime dell'ingiustizia o di una sorte miserabile, e l'aiuto materiale che può e deve essere loro dato, ma ritiene che questo aiuto sarà sempre incompleto finché non avrà suscitato la forza e la volontà di porre la vita in una direzione che la oltrepassi. È l'essenza dell'Analisi esistenziale permettere all'uomo di liberarsi dalle catene del suo passato, di liberarsi dal peso del presente, di superare tutto ciò che gli è stato descritto come un determinismo insormontabile, grazie a questa dimensione del spirito che lo avremo aiutato a identificare e manifestare.
