Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 1995 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik - Region: Osteuropa, Note: 1,0, Universität zu Köln (Institut für Politische Wissenschaft und Europaeische Fragen), Veranstaltung: Hauptseminar Politische Systeme und Medien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Unter der zentralistischen Ägide der kommunistischen Parteidiktatur war Berichterstattung in Polen - wie in allen Ländern des Real Existierenden Sozialismus - gleichbedeutend mit politischer Public Relations des herrschenden Regimes, dem sein Informationsmonopol sozialistische Bewusstseinsbildung der Bürger und Stabilisierung des Systems ermöglichen sollte. Die totale Kontrolle der Medien durch das politische System entfaltete jedoch am Ende eine diesen Absichten entgegen gesetzte, destabilisierende Wirkung: Die von den Massenmedien verbreitete "Erfolgspropaganda" und die von den Bürgern direkt wahrgenommene soziale Realität klafften immer unübersehbarer auseinander. Der daraus resultierende totale Glaubwürdigkeitsverlust der offiziellen Informationsorgane und des sich darin artikulierenden Systems beschleunigte den Erosionsprozess des Ostblocks schließlich sogar. Der Übergang zu einer gefestigten Demokratie löste die Symbiose von politischem und Mediensystem auf. Aber - und das ist das Entscheidende - nur bis zu einem gewissen Grad. Schwächen bei der Um- und Neugestaltung der Institutionen und des in ihnen begründeten Verhältnisses von politischem System und Mediensystem begannen nun, die Stabilisierung der polnischen Demokratie zu behindern. Dabei spielt insbesondere auch eine Kontinuität im Verständnis der Massenmedien (insbesondere des Fernsehens) als Instrument parteipolitischer Interessendurchsetzung eine wichtige Rolle. Überspitzt könnte man behaupten, dass die Instrumentalisierungsmöglichkeiten der Massenmedien durch die Akteure des politischen Systems in einer sich konsolidierenden Demokratie sogar größer sind als in einer Diktatur, die ihren formalen Anspruch an die Bereitstellu
