Domba dan kambing memiliki peran penting dalam berbagai macam aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Kebutuhan daging domba setiap tahunnya selalu meningkat. Tentunya, pada momen-momen tertentu seperti Hari Raya Idul Adha akan terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan. Di satu sisi, suplai yang ada saat ini masih selalu kurang. Salah satu segmen yang bisa memberikan keuntungan paling tinggi dari usaha peternakan domba adalah segmen penggemukan. Namun demikian, usaha di segmen ini tidaklah mudah karena banyak faktor yang mempengaruhinya.
