The Urtext was given to us directly from God. In December of 1965 an agnostic began hearing the character of Jesus speak to her and by shorthand she took down what he said. Later her shorthand was typed into written form and then condensed and edited into what became known as "A Course in Miracles." However, Jesus said, "the original Urtext was to be called "A Course in Miracles." He made no mention of an edited version. The following paragraph is a quotation from Jesus, and, in my opinion, summarizes the content of the course.
