Vector Valued Functions And Their Applications written by Chuang-Gan Hu and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-04-17 with Mathematics categories.

This book is the first to be devoted to the theory of vector-valued functions with one variable. This theory is one of the fundamental tools employed in modern physics, the spectral theory of operators, approximation of analytic operators, analytic mappings between vectors, and vector-valued functions of several variables. The book contains three chapters devoted to the theory of normal functions, Hp-space, and vector-valued functions and their applications. Among the topics dealt with are the properties of complex functions in a complex plane and infinite-dimensional spaces, and the solution of vector-valued integral equations and boundary value problems by complex analysis and functional analysis, which involve methods which can be applied to problems in operations research and control theory. Much original research is included. This volume will be of interest to those whose work involves complex analysis and control theory, and can be recommended as a graduate text in these areas.

Intended for specialists in functional analysis and stability theory, this work presents a systematic exposition of estimations for norms of operator-valued functions, and applies the estimates to spectrum perturbations of linear operators and stability theory. The author demonstrates his own approach to spectrum perturbations.

Generalized Functionals Of Brownian Motion And Their Applications written by Nasir Uddin Ahmed and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012 with Mathematics categories.

This invaluable research monograph presents a unified and fascinating theory of generalized functionals of Brownian motion and other fundamental processes such as fractional Brownian motion and Levy process OCo covering the classical WienerOCoIto class including the generalized functionals of Hida as special cases, among others. It presents a thorough and comprehensive treatment of the WienerOCoSobolev spaces and their duals, as well as Malliavin calculus with their applications. The presentation is lucid and logical, and is based on a solid foundation of analysis and topology. The monograph develops the notions of compactness and weak compactness on these abstract Fock spaces and their duals, clearly demonstrating their nontrivial applications to stochastic differential equations in finite and infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces, optimization and optimal control problems. Readers will find the book an interesting and easy read as materials are presented in a systematic manner with a complete analysis of classical and generalized functionals of scalar Brownian motion, Gaussian random fields and their vector versions in the increasing order of generality. It starts with abstract Fourier analysis on the Wiener measure space where a striking similarity of the celebrated RieszOCoFischer theorem for separable Hilbert spaces and the space of WienerOCoIto functionals is drawn out, thus providing a clear insight into the subject.

This volume of the Proceedings of the congress ISAAC '97 collects the con tributions of the four sections 1. Function theoretic and functional analytic methods for pde, 2. Applications of function theory of several complex variables to pde, 3. Integral equations and boundary value problems, 4. Partial differential equations. Most but not all of the authors have participated in the congress. Unfortunately some from Eastern Europe and Asia have not managed to come because of lack of financial support. Nevertheless their manuscripts of the proposed talks are included in this volume. The majority of the papers deal with complex methods. Among them boundary value problems in particular the Riemann-Hilbert, the Riemann (Hilbert) and related problems are treated. Boundary behaviour of vector-valued functions are studied too. The Riemann-Hilbert problem is solved for elliptic complex equations, for mixed complex equations, and for several complex variables. It is considered in a general topological setting for mappings into q;n and related to Toeplitz operators. Convolution operators are investigated for nilpotent Lie groups leading to some consequences for the null space of the tangential Cauchy Riemann operator. Some boundary value problems for overdetermined systems in balls of q;n are solved explicitly. A survey is given for the Gauss-Manin connection associated with deformations of curve singularities. Several papers deal with generalizations of analytic functions with various applications to mathematical physics. Singular integrals in quaternionic anal ysis are studied which are applied to the time-harmonic Maxwell equations.

Linear Algebra In Action written by Harry Dym and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-12-31 with Mathematics categories.

Linear algebra permeates mathematics, perhaps more so than any other single subject. It plays an essential role in pure and applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, and many aspects of physics and engineering. This book conveys in a user-friendly way the basic and advanced techniques of linear algebra from the point of view of a working analyst. The techniques are illustrated by a wide sample of applications and examples that are chosen to highlight the tools of the trade. In short, this is material that many of us wish we had been taught as graduate students. Roughly the first third of the book covers the basic material of a first course in linear algebra. The remaining chapters are devoted to applications drawn from vector calculus, numerical analysis, control theory, complex analysis, convexity and functional analysis. In particular, fixed point theorems, extremal problems, matrix equations, zero location and eigenvalue location problems, and matrices with nonnegative entries are discussed. Appendices on useful facts from analysis and supplementary information from complex function theory are also provided for the convenience of the reader. In this new edition, most of the chapters in the first edition have been revised, some extensively. The revisions include changes in a number of proofs, either to simplify the argument, to make the logic clearer or, on occasion, to sharpen the result. New introductory sections on linear programming, extreme points for polyhedra and a Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem have been added, as have some very short introductory sections on the mathematics behind Google, Drazin inverses, band inverses and applications of SVD together with a number of new exercises.

Banach Spaces And Their Applications In Analysis written by Beata Randrianantoanina and has been published by Walter de Gruyter this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-12-22 with Mathematics categories.

In recent years there has been a surge of profound new developments in various aspects of analysis whose connecting thread is the use of Banach space methods. Indeed, many problems seemingly far from the classical geometry of Banach spaces have been solved using Banach space techniques. This volume contains papers by participants of the conference "Banach Spaces and their Applications in Analysis", held in May 2006 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in honor of Nigel Kalton's 60th birthday. In addition to research articles contributed by participants, the volume includes invited expository articles by principal speakers of the conference, who are leaders in their areas. These articles present overviews of new developments in each of the conference's main areas of emphasis, namely nonlinear theory, isomorphic theory of Banach spaces including connections with combinatorics and set theory, algebraic and homological methods in Banach spaces, approximation theory and algorithms in Banach spaces. This volume also contains an expository article about the deep and broad mathematical work of Nigel Kalton, written by his long time collaborator, Gilles Godefroy. Godefroy's article, and in fact the entire volume, illustrates the power and versatility of applications of Banach space methods and underlying connections between seemingly distant areas of analysis.
