Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Politik - Sonstige Themen, Note: 1,0, Universität Hildesheim (Stiftung) (Politikwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Politikvermittlung in der Mediendemokratie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Während jeder Mensch täglich in „seiner kleinen Welt“ lebt, dort eigene Erfahrungen sammelt, beim Einkauf durch Erzählungen Neuigkeiten aus dem Ort erfährt und ihm gelegentlich über ein „Lauffeuer“ aktuelle Ereignisse aus dem näheren Umkreis zu Ohren kommen, bleiben ihm die Geschehnisse und Ereignisse aus der Region, Deutschland und der Welt jedoch weitestgehend verschlossen - gäbe es nicht „Nachrichten“, die uns täglich wie durch ein Fenster einen, wenn auch nur begrenzten Blick auf die Welt ermöglichen. „Lasst uns noch eben die Nachrichten sehen, bevor der Film beginnt“, könnte ein typischer Satz einer Person lauten, die, bevor sie sich entspannt zurücklehnt, um sich für den Rest des Tages unterhalten zu lassen, „noch eben wissen möchte, was in der Welt so passiert ist“. „Die Nachrichten“ gucken! Welche Nachrichten gucken? Heute scheint es regelrecht so, als gäbe es nicht mehr die Nachrichten, sondern eine wahre Flut an Informationen des Tages, die von den unterschiedlichsten Programmanbietern differenziert aufgearbeitet und ausgestrahlt werden. Der Rezipient kann in Folge dessen frei entscheiden, welchen Typus von Informationen und auf welche Art und Weise er sich diese präsentieren lassen möchte. Bevorzugt er die unterhaltsamen, breitgefächerten „News to use“ 1 von „RTL Aktuell“, weil er die „Tagesschau“ der ARD als traditionelle, anspruchsvolle „Sprechersendung“ (vgl. Wittwen 1995, S. 30) „spießig und langweilig“ findet, oder zieht er die abwechslungsreiche Mischung aus Information und Boulevard der „Sat.1–News“ den multiperspektivischen „heute-Nachrichten“ vor, die tiefgründige Hintergründe vermitteln und mit einer Vielzahl an Berichten und Kommentaren die Ansprüche politikinteressierter Zuschauer erfüllt? In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit soll die Politikvermittlung der Hauptnachrichtensendungen der ARD, des ZDF, von RTL und Sat.1 im Mittelpunkt stehen. Ziel dieser Hausarbeit ist, zu erfassen, in wie weit Parallelen und konvergente Entwicklungen zwischen den Nachrichten der öffentlich-rechtlichen und den privaten Sendern bestehen, in welchen Bereichen markante Unterschiede existieren und ob das Image der Privatsender, mehr Unterhaltungs- als Informationsnachrichten zu senden, der Realität entspricht. Dazu werden ausgewählte Sendungen sowie Meldungen analysiert und die Ergebnisse miteinander verglichen.
