La presente publicacion se divide en dos secciones, la primera presenta un estudio de caracter cualitativo que se efectuo en el ano de 1998 en el cual se realizo un diagnostico sobre la situacion de las personas que vivian con VIH/Sida, en especial en sus relaciones familiares, en aquella epoca la violencia familiar no era objeto de analisis en este grupo vulnerable, se abordaba la violencia social y en especial la laboral, por lo que apostar a trabajar el trato que recibian las personas que vivian con VIH/Sida fue tocar una tematica considerada tabu. En la segunda seccion se muestra un analisis realizado en el ano 2009 profundizando en la violencia familiar y el trato que recibian en los servicios medicos las personas que viven con VIH/Sida, en este estudio se utilizo en la primera fase una metodologia cualitativa con entrevistas a profundidad y en la segunda fase se implemento un analisis de caracter cuantitativo dividido en dos topicos el trato familiar, violencia y buen trato y el segundo el trato que reciben las personas en sus servicios medicos."
