Das vorliegende Werk, soll sich mit der Triere, einem der wichtigsten bzw. dem bedeutendsten Kriegsschiff der griechischen Antike, beschäftigen. In der folgenden Arbeit soll die Frage stehen, ob die Triere das wichtigste Kriegsschiff der klassischen Antike ist und wo und gleichsam wie es Einsatz fand. Weiter sollen Fragen aus dem politisch-militärischen Kontext des fünften Jahrhunderts folgen. Wie zum Beispiel schaffte es eine Poleis Trieren zu bauen und auszustatten? Gerade dieser Finanzierungsaspekt stellt einen interessanten Bezug der Arbeit dar. Diese Arbeit gibt einen guten Blick über das Kriegsschiff Triere und ist auch für Laien verständlich und gut geschrieben, ohne den wissenschaftlichen Aspekt außer Acht zu lassen.
