Once he was known as the angel Remiel, but generations ago, Boston PI Remy Chandler chose to renounce Heaven and live on Earth, where he found a secure place among ordinary humans.... Remy Chandler has found a new love—and his best human friend is reluctantly coming to grips with Remy’s “unusual” abilities. He’s finally reached a kind of peace between his true angelic nature and the human persona he created for himself so long ago. But Heaven and the Legions of the Fallen still stand on the brink of war. When one of Heaven’s greatest generals is murdered, it falls to Remy to discover who—or what—might be responsible, which could trigger a final conflict that would consume the Earth. The deeper he digs, the further he goes into a dark world of demonic assassins, secret brothels, and things unsettling even to a being who has lived for eternity. But it is not in his nature—angelic or human—to quit, no matter the personal price....

You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. Ezek 28:14 (NASU) Here is another verse that speaks about the fiery mountain of God, but this time it says, "You walked in the midst of the stones of fire." But who is walking in the midst of the fire and who are these stones of fire? Most people reading this verse out of sheer belief of what others have told them have supposed that this was satan before his fall, but actually it is Adam before his fall! Very clearly in verse 2 God tells Adam that he is just a man and not God. Adam was made perfect by God, but then pride began to creep into his heart as he looked at his greatness rather than God's, then he fell from his place on the mountain of God. Adam was the anointed one who covers, or watches over all that God had put in his care over the kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. He walked in the midst of the stones of fire and took it all for granted. We who are in Christ right now on the earth are sitting in two places at once. We are on earth in a human body, but our spirit man can soar into heavenly realms with Jesus, the saints, and angels, yet, most Christians are not even slightly aware of this fact or even interested in it because they are spiritually unaware of these truths. God has made a way for us to be completely prepared to abide in the spirit realm now and when we die. Most Christians are not taking advantage of this time that we have to learn these things, because their minds are so intertwined with the worlds ways and not with God and will be unprepared when they do die and meet God.

Walking Through Fire written by Vaneetha Rendall Risner and has been published by Thomas Nelson this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-01-19 with Religion categories.

The astonishing, Job-like story of how an existence filled with loss, suffering, questioning, and anger became a life filled with shocking and incomprehensible peace and joy. Vaneetha Risner contracted polio as an infant, was misdiagnosed, and lived with widespread paralysis. She lived in and out of the hospital for ten years and, after each stay, would return to a life filled with bullying. When she became a Christian, though, she thought things would get easier, and they did: carefree college days, a dream job in Boston, and an MBA from Stanford where she met and married a classmate. But life unraveled. Again. She had four miscarriages. Her son died because of a doctor's mistake. And Vaneetha was diagnosed with post-polio syndrome, meaning she would likely become a quadriplegic. And then her husband betrayed her and moved out, leaving her to raise two adolescent daughters alone. This was not the abundant life she thought God had promised her. But, as Vaneetha discovered, everything she experienced was designed to draw her closer to Christ as she discovered "that intimacy with God in suffering can be breathtakingly beautiful."

Does it feel like no matter where you look or what the issue is, everyone seems to be fighting about everything? We live in the information age, with more access to knowledge than ever before, flowing to us in a never-ending digital stream of updates, statistics, polls, opinions, news, and narratives from those on opposing sides of any issue. And while we’d assume this influx of information would help us find a good, informed way forward in our culture, it actually stirs up all sorts of anger, anxiety, and even loneliness. This all contributes to an increasingly defensive society that feels like it’s not only fracturing, but could go up in flames at any moment. If you’re anything like the contributors to World on Fire, you’ve realized that all this knowledge isn’t the same thing as wisdom. While our world relies on expected, reflexive, status-quo, earthly wisdom to make a way forward or take a side on any given issue, Christ would rather us rely on his unexpected, counterintuitive, going-against-the- grain, heavenly wisdom as outlined in his famous Beatitudes. This surprising wisdom is not a call to be removed from the fire we feel blazing around us, but one to engage and tame it—beginning with our own hearts. Whatever those nearest you seem to be arguing about today, and no matter what the fire looks like in your neck of the woods, Jesus has an answer for the ways his kingdom citizens should walk as they navigate the flames in his power and posture. In their own unique voice and in their own unique way, each contributor in World on Fire welcomes you to come explore not only some of the polarizing issues of our day, but how the unexpected wisdom of Jesus might help us be more discerning and Christlike amidst them.
