My mother, Marion Louise Kirch, was born June 27, 1922. This book is the story of her life and her search for a "forever home". It spans growing up in the 20's to living as a Navy wife, to the turbulent 60's, to finding peace in the "North Country" of upstate New York. She followed her husband and his career for many years, and left an extensive collection of diaries, pictures and letters, which I have used to fill in the gaps she left in her story. Her story resonates with anyone who has ever struggled to find love and their place in this world.
