Tomorrow the Stars¾ Today, World War III! Dr. Neil Anson Clemons was born at the very moment that men first landed on the moon and always strived to become an astronaut and reach the stars. Becoming an astronaut and traveling to the stars are not easy tasks. Neil devoted his life to staying physically fit as any astronaut should be through martial arts and mentally fit by studying and becoming one of the world's foremost experts in quantum physics and gravitational theory. Now he and his team have achieved a breakthrough, both in building a warp drive, and finding a new energy source powerful enough to make the drive more than an interesting theoretical concept. With the help of attractive and outspoken southern astronaut, US Air Force Colonel Tabitha Ames, the US Government is convinced to fund the Top Secret warp project, including assembly in orbit of the first faster-than-light probe. Unfortunately, forces working behind the scenes have much darker dreams, and have infiltrated the Top Secret program. They do not hesitate to blow up a space shuttle, attempt to kill Neil and Tabitha, and use the stolen warp technology to start what they expect to be a short, devastating, and victorious war with the United States. But Dr. Clemons has ideas for using his warp drive technology completely unsuspected by America's enemies, and repelling the all-out attack is only the beginning of a titanic struggle to reach the stars. Warp Speed is lightning-paced science fiction adventure built upon authentic science in the grand tradition of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, and E. E. "Doc" Smith. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).

A powerful story of how our nation's leaders overcame the odds, saving the American people from the throes of a deadly pandemic. The prior record for vaccine development and distribution was approximately 4.5 years. Operation Warp Speed got the COVID-19 vaccine to the American people in less than 10 months. Operation Warp Speed did not happen by accident. It was the result of exceptional leadership, explicit strategy, and unprecedented teamwork. Author Paul Mango, the foremost leader of Operation Warp Speed and the former deputy chief of US Health and Human Services, chronicles the challenges and real dangers of developing the vaccine. In this harrowing, behind-the-scenes account of the most successful public-private partnership since World War II, we learn how the nation's biggest leaders accomplished the impossible. Through sheer will and exceptional commitment, a small group of leaders fulfilled its mission, making the United States the only country in the world which could offer a vaccine to any citizen by April 2021, scarcely 14 months after the genetic identification of the virus.

In 2000, Schragenheim and Dettmer published the ground-breaking Manufacturing at Warp Speed. At the time, the cutting-edge ideas expressed were the original work of the authors and not well-known beyond the book’s audience. In the years that followed, Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, father of the Theory of Constraints (TOC), adopted their ideas, added his own valuable insights, and popularized them worldwide. Supply Chain Management at Warp Speed serves as the sequel that refines and updates the former approach to production management with new ideas that complement earlier tactics. The authors’ prime motivation for writing this book was to integrate the TOC method for managing the distribution of finished goods with the acquisition of raw materials and the manufacturing process. The result is the first book to describe, in detail, the application of the TOC approach to assured availability in distribution, for both original equipment manufacturers and retailers. "State-Of-The-Art" in Applying Theory of Constraints This cutting-edge reference broadens the scope of its predecessor by integrating manufacturing, distribution, and raw material management into a single end-to-end supply chain. It addresses the new demands taken on when a firm offers to handle rush orders. It also reviews the issues surrounding availability and the management of inventory moving through distribution systems. Fully illustrated, with numerous examples, case studies, and manufacturing scenarios, Supply Chain Management at Warp Speed provides TOC practitioners with the tools needed to address the performance issues of the entire supply chain and develop solutions that represent a win for the end-user as well as stakeholders along the entire supply chain.

Did the coverage of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal set a new low for American journalism? How has news gathering and reporting changed, and what effects has this had on the political and cultural landscape? In this insightful and thoughtful book, Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel, two of America's leading press watchers, explore the new culture of news--what they call the new Mixed Media Culture--and show how it works.Warp Speed describes a world of news in which the speed of delivery is reducing the time for verification, sources are gaining more leverage over the news, and argument is overwhelming reporting. The press, forced to adhere to the demands of the bottom line and keep its audience, is straining more and more to find the Big Story to package as a form of entertainment, turning news stories into TV dramas; and turning history into a kind of Truman Show. As a result, the role of the press in a self-governing society is undermined.Grounded in extensive research, Warp Speed is informed by interviews and testimony from the principal journalists who covered this story and who covered the other great scandals of Washington politics. It offers detailed recommendations on how journalists can right their ship, such as using anonymous sources more responsibly and turning good journalism into good business.

Galactic Travel at Warp Speed in Imaginary Time When all the technical articles from magazines, newspapers, and published books are correlated, it becomes very apparent that mankind is on the verge of discovering a new frontiera frontier called imaginary time. This isnt a dreamworld but rather, a place in the space-time continuum where spacecraft can travel at warp speeds throughout the galaxy. This book is not a science fiction book. Unlike other scientific approaches that are formal, conservative, and trite, this book delves into equations and techniques that suggest a different method of galactic travel other than power-driven machines. This book points the way toward governmental research that will be more productive than the rocket approach of today. The link that makes warp speeds feasible is the association with neutrinos and their speed relative to the speed of light. Present day understanding of the neutrino is very limited. Scientists can create them and send them to a location, but neutrinos created by our sun and other stars in the galaxy are different. They have a property that can be used to propel a spacecraft! Illustrations detail the construction of a time shifter and the final version of a spacecraft. Construction of the time shifter is necessary to obtain the critical electromagnetic properties that will be used in the spacecraft. To achieve speeds greater than the speed of light, a new understanding of Einsteins law or E = mc has to be made. Einsteins laws on relativity still apply, but a new frontier with a better understanding of "time" is necessary. The major form of time that mankind knows today is the alarm clock going off in the morning. This book will discuss three other forms of time; namely, imaginary time, galactic sector time, and a Biblical time line from which critical information about our past is derived. In the latter chapters, several hypotheses are proposed along with axioms that point toward the feasibility of several theories as correct. These theories are backed-up with research provided by the Bible and astronomical data for our solar system. Advanced theories of this magnitude require that we know where we came from before we can understand where were going. The Bible provides a clue so that space travelers will know what to expect when they travel across the galaxy. The clue leads to a special section titled Rib Theory. With an understanding of Rib Theory, logical conclusions point out that the Earth is twenty six percent (yes 26%) closer to the sun than it was back in 23,350 BC. Astronomical data confirms that the orbit of Earth and Mars are very different than orbits of other planets. Additional evidence is documented with photographs, magazines, and other books to illustrate significant changes that occurred here on Earth before man learned how to write. With a better understanding of global warming and the real causes, mankind will be motivated to take measures now. Were running out of time and major research has to be started as soon as possible. In retrospect, the purpose of this book is twofold. The first goal is to point the way toward a methodology for galactic travel and what to expect traveling at warp speed. The second goal is to benefit mankind so that his dependence on fossil fuels is reduced with alternative energy and his understanding of the world around him is improved. Charles E. Advertising expert Agnieszka M. Winkler offers an insider's perspective on how technology has changed marketing and advertising. Writing with clarity and confidence, she outlines the steps advertisers and marketers must take to keep pace. She cites high-profile companies like Dell Computers and Amazon as examples of brands that were built in months, not years. These examples illustrate her sometimes complex concepts, and make them more accessible. Unfortunately, she also devotes a large amount of space to what amounts to a commercial for an adverting software application that she's trying to sell. But for readers who can stomach the pitch, getAbstract recommends this book to those who work in marketing, advertising, or related industries, and to those who are making the transition to technology-driven brand building. (Editor's note: TeamToolz, one of the major resources covered in this book, is a pay-for-use service sold by the author.).

Working At Warp Speed written by Flicker Barry Flicker and has been published by ReadHowYouWant.com this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-07 with Business & Economics categories.

Introduces four ''Rules of Warp Speed'' that can help readers break through the following common barriers to success: Work overload Lack of support Poorly defined goals Blame and finger pointing Unrealistic deadlines Endless meetings Poor communication Constant fire fighting Incomplete planning Constantly shifting targets or goals Offers a startling exercise-The Project Game-that demonstrates how to keep fires from burning out of control and reduce the number of fires you fight each day Everyone is a project manager-projects are what all of us do day in and day out. Skillful project management is fundamental to survival in today's warp-speed world. Yet it is often misunderstood, leading to unrealistic deadlines, poorly defined goals, and wasted time. The secret to successful project management, argues Barry Flicker, is making and keeping clear commitments-far easier said than done in a time of complex, cross-departmental projects and sometimes unclear lines of authority. Through a story about people confronting daily frustrations on the job, Flicker demonstrates how shifting focus from blaming ''the idiots out there'' to examining one's own behaviors and assumptions helps people to overcome obstacles. Working at Warp Speed shows how following four simple laws can transform workers' most frustrating complaints from persistent barriers into potential breakthrough experiences.
