This new edition provides an updated and enhanced survey on employing wavelets analysis in an array of applications of speech processing. The author presents updated developments in topics such as; speech enhancement, noise suppression, spectral analysis of speech signal, speech quality assessment, speech recognition, forensics by Speech, and emotion recognition from speech. The new edition also features a new chapter on scalogram analysis of speech. Moreover, in this edition, each chapter is restructured as such; that it becomes self contained, and can be read separately. Each chapter surveys the literature in a topic such that the use of wavelets in the work is explained and experimental results of proposed method are then discussed. Illustrative figures are also added to explain the methodology of each work.

The Stationary Bionic Wavelet Transform And Its Applications For Ecg And Speech Processing written by Talbi Mourad and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-02-14 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book first details a proposed Stationary Bionic Wavelet Transform (SBWT) for use in speech processing. The author then details the proposed techniques based on SBWT. These techniques are relevant to speech enhancement, speech recognition, and ECG de-noising. The techniques are then evaluated by comparing them to a number of methods existing in literature. For evaluating the proposed techniques, results are applied to different speech and ECG signals and their performances are justified from the results obtained from using objective criterion such as SNR, SSNR, PSNR, PESQ , MAE, MSE and more.

Wavelet Packets And Their Statistical Applications written by Khalil Ahmad and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-06-21 with Mathematics categories.
This book presents the basic concepts of functional analysis, wavelet analysis and thresholding. It begins with an elementary chapter on preliminaries such as basic concepts of functional analysis, a brief tour of the wavelet transform, Haar scaling functions and function space, wavelets, symlets wavelets and coiflets wavelets. In turn, Chapters 2 and 3 address the construction of wavelet packets, selected results on wavelet packets, band-limited wavelet packets, characterisations of wavelet packets, multiresolution analysis (MRA) wavelet packets, pointwise convergence, the convergence of wavelet packet series and convolution bounds. Chapter 4 discusses characterisations of function spaces like Lebesgue spaces, Hardy spaces and Sobolev spaces in terms of wavelet packets, while Chapter 5 is devoted to applications of wavelets and wavelet packets in speech denoising and biomedical signals. In closing, Chapter 6 highlights applications of wavelets and wavelet packets in image denoising.

It is almost impossible to imagine life today without the electronics, communications and networks we have all come to take for granted. The 6G network is currently under development and some chips able to operate at the Terahertz (THz) scale have already been introduced, so the next decade will probably see the consolidation of 6G-based technology, as well as many compliant devices. This book presents the proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet 2021), initially planned to be held from 18-21 November 2021 in Beijing, China, but ultimately held as an online event due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The CECNet series is now an established annual event attracting participants in the interrelated fields of electronics, computers, communications and wireless communications engineering and technology from around the world. Careful review by program committee members, who took into consideration the breadth and depth of those research topics that fall within the scope of CECNet, resulted in the selection of the 88 papers presented here from the 325 submissions received. This represents an acceptance rate of around 27%. Providing an overview of current research and developments in these rapidly evolving fields, the book will be of interest to all those working with digital communications networks.

Speech Enhancement Techniques For Digital Hearing Aids written by Komal R. Borisagar and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-11-15 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book provides various speech enhancement algorithms for digital hearing aids. It covers information on noise signals extracted from silences of speech signal. The description of the algorithm used for this purpose is also provided. Different types of adaptive filters such as Least Mean Squares (LMS), Normalized LMS (NLMS) and Recursive Lease Squares (RLS) are described for noise reduction in the speech signals. Different types of noises are taken to generate noisy speech signals, and therefore information on various noises signals is provided. The comparative performance of various adaptive filters for noise reduction in speech signals is also described. In addition, the book provides a speech enhancement technique using adaptive filtering and necessary frequency strength enhancement using wavelet transform as per the requirement of audiogram for digital hearing aids. Presents speech enhancement techniques for improving performance of digital hearing aids; Covers various types of adaptive filters and their advantages and limitations; Provides a hybrid speech enhancement technique using wavelet transform and adaptive filters.

Neutrosophic Approach For Enhancing Quality Of Signals written by Sudan Jha and has been published by Infinite Study this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on with Mathematics categories.
Information in a signal is often followed by undesirable disturbance which is termed as noise. Preventing noise in the signal leads to signal integrity, which also leads to better signal quality. The previous related works have the major issues while reducing noise in signals regarding assumptions, frequency and time domain, etc. This paper proposes a new Neutrosophic approach to reduce noises and errors in signal transmission. In the proposed method, confidence function is used as the truth membership function, which is associated with sampled time intervals.
