Inhaltsangabe:gang der Untersuchung: Die Frage nach (musik-)kulturellen Rezeptionshaltungen und ihren kulturpolitischen Auswirkungen gehört nicht unbedingt zum Kernbereich der Musikwissenschaft. Und dennoch ist es legitim, sich in einem musikwissenschaftlichen Kontext der in diesem Fall sehr musiksoziologisch ausgerichtet ist damit zu beschäftigen. Denn in welchem Zusammenhang Menschen Musik produzieren und rezipieren, ihre Motivationen dies zu tun oder zu unterlassen sowie mögliche dahinterliegende (unbewußte) Strategien diese Themen betreffen nicht nur die Musikwissenschaft als solche, sondern haben weitreichende Auswirkungen im gesellschaftlichen wie politischen Alltag. Ich möchte daher an den Anfang dieser Arbeit ein eher allgemein gehaltenes einleitendes Kapitel über die Musiksoziologie als Teil der Musikwissenschaft stellen, das quasi als eine Art Präludium erläutern soll, weshalb sich eine musikwissenschaftliche Diplomarbeit in diesem nicht ganz so naheliegenden Rahmen bewegt, auf welche musiksoziologischen Strömungen ich mich überwiegend beziehe und bereits erste Verknüpfungen sowohl zum ersten soziologischen, als auch zum zweiten kulturpolitischen Abschnitt herstellt. Im ersten Abschnitt der Arbeit möchte ich drei wesentliche (kultur-)soziologische Konzepte kulturellen Konsums vorstellen: Pierre Bourdieus feine Unterschiede , Gerhard Schulzes Erlebnisgesellschaft sowie als Exkurs angehängt, Albrecht Göschels Generationenmodell . Wiederum stellt sich die Frage, was diese Konzepte mit Musik und Musikwissenschaft zu tun haben. Bourdieus Untersuchungen bilden einen wesentlichen Ausgangspunkt dieser Arbeit, da Schulze (wie auch andere Autoren, die zu Wort kommen werden) immer wieder auf dessen Ergebnisse Bezug nehmen, sie kommentieren, weiterentwickeln oder sich davon distanzieren. Selbst Kritiker müssen sich eingehend damit beschäftigen. Man kann daher getrost trotz der nicht mehr ganz aktuellen Resultate von einem wissenschaftlichen Dauerbrenner sprechen. Angefangen von Silbermann ganz zu Beginn bis hin zu den kulturpolitischen Statements und Konzepten gegen Ende der Arbeit lassen sich immer wieder wichtige Querverbindungen herstellen, weshalb bereits an dieser Stelle einer kurzen Einführung in seine Ideen ein wenig mehr Raum gewidmet werden soll. Bourdieu versucht mit Hilfe seiner umfassenden Studie Kants Theorie vom interesselosen Wohlgefallen bei der Rezeption von Kunst der auch die Musikwissenschaft viel abgewinnt zu [...]
