Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 2,3, Universität Potsdam (Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftliche Fakultät, Professur für Organisations- und Verwaltungssoziologie), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die Organisationsund Verwaltungssoziologie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Jedem ist das Wort "Kultur" geläufig, jeder assoziiert etwas anderes mit diesem Begriff. Aber was genau ist mit der Bezeichnung "Organisationskultur" gemeint? Was verbirgt sich dahinter? Und welche Rolle spielt die Organisationskultur bzw. welche Bedeutung hat sie für ein Unternehmen sowie für Organisationen? Schon in den 1980er und 1990er Jahren, als westliche Unternehmen große Veränderungen in ihrer Organisation vornahmen, um am Markt konkurrenzfähig zu bleiben, trat die Organisationskultur als mögliche Lösung für eine erfolgreiche Veränderung innerhalb eines Unternehmens in den Vordergrund (vgl. Fisch/Beck 2006: 8). Besonders der Erfolg japanischer Unternehmen, der auf die spezifische Landeskultur zurückgeführt wurde, löste in westlichen Unternehmen ein Überdenken sowie Nachdenken hinsichtlich der Beachtung unternehmens-kultureller Aspekte aus (vgl. Faust 2003: 57). Es war aber auch der Zeitpunkt eines gesellschaftlichen Wertewandels, der mit der Studentenbewegung der späten 1960er Jahre begann. Nicht nur im Arbeitsbereich kam es zum Übergang vom "harten" zum "weichen" Lebensstil, seelenloses Analysieren und technokratische Management-Tools wurden abgelehnt (vgl. Faust 2003: 57). Der Unternehmenskultur wurde prognostiziert, dass sie ein entscheidender Erfolgsfaktor sei (vgl. Fisch/Beck 2006: 8). In meiner Hausarbeit möchte ich der Frage nachgehen, ob eine Unternehmenskultur wirklich wichtig ist bzw. welchen Stellenwert sie besitzt. Dazu werde ich als Erstes auf den Begriff der Organisationskultur eingehen.
