Werte, Bildung und Religion sind Schlüsselthemen der Gegenwart. Vom Religionsunterricht in der Berufsschule wird dabei erwartet, dass er auch einen Beitrag zur Wertebildung leistet. Diese Studie fragt nach der Genese des Wertebegriffs und erschließt die Wertethematik in theologischer und religionspädagogischer Perspektive. Sie fragt nach den Aufgaben und Herausforderungen, die sich hieraus für den Religionsunterricht in der Berufsschule ergeben. Dabei werden empirische Studien zum Thema jugendlicher Wertorientierungen und zum Religionsunterricht im beruflichen Schulwesen rezipiert und es wird eine eigene Untersuchung zum Thema vorgestellt. Mit der empirischen Unterrichtsforschung greift die Studie Entwicklungstendenzen der aktuellen pädagogischen Forschung auf und mit ihren Fragestellungen schließt sie an vorangegangene Studien berufsorientierter Religionspädagogik an. Es werden Erträge formuliert und Aspekte einer Didaktik von Wertebildung umrissen. Diese von ihrer Anlage her explorative Studie leistet somit einen Beitrag zur Wertebildung aus der Perspektive berufsorientierter evangelischer Religionspädagogik. Georg Wagensommer, Dr. habil., von 2008 bis 2016 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Evangelischen Institut für Berufsorientierte Religionspädagogik, ist Professor für Religionspädagogik an der Evangelischen Hochschule Freiburg und Privatdozent für ev. Theologie/Religionspädagogik der Pädagogischen Hochschule Karlsruhe.

The question of how research on structures and outcomes in Religious Education can be carried out successfully is of current interest in many countries. With contributions from eight European countries, the volume brings together approaches and research experiences that try to follow this lead by offering new and empirically based perspectives for the future improvement of teaching and learning in this school subject.
