Unternehmensbewertungen spielen vor dem Hintergrund globalisierender M rkte und der daraus resultierenden Mergers & Acquisitions Aktivit t eine zentrale Rolle. So sind Unternehmensbewertungen auch Kernbestandteile von Boombranchen wie etwa der Private Equity und Venture Capital Branche. Aufgrund ihrer scheinbaren Einfachheit bei der Erhebung und Anwendung sind Multiplikatorbewertungen ein in der Praxis regelm ig wiederzufindender Bewertungsansatz. Trotz dieser weiten Verbreitung finden Multiplikatorverfahren jedoch in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur nur eine geringe Beachtung, was dieses Buch relativiert. Nach der Kl rung grundlegender Begrifflichkeiten einer Unternehmensbewertung sowie deren Anl sse und Ziele f hrt der Autor den Leser nach einer kurzen Einf hrung des Ertragswert- und DCF-Verfahrens hin zu den mathematischen Herleitungen von g ngigen Multiplikatoren. Es werden dem Leser nicht nur Vor- und Nachteile der vorgestellten Multiplikatoren aufgezeigt, sondern auch Schritt f r Schritt der Weg durch eine Multiplikatorbewertung verdeutlicht. Ausschlaggebend f r eine fundierte Multiplikatorbewertung ist die Identifizierung passender Vergleichsunternehmen. Dieser Problematik wird ein besonderer Schwerpunkt zuteil. Es werden vom Autor zwei konkurrierende Ans tze vorgestellt - der Branchen- und der Werttreiberansatz. Nach der Vorstellung und W rdigung bisheriger wissenschaftlicher Untersuchungen zu diesen Ans tzen wird eine aktuelle empirische Untersuchung zur Effizienz beider Ans tze durchgef hrt.
