The Gospel of John The Apostle is all about presenting Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. It also presents Jesus as the all-powerful Son of God who enables His disciples to do great work on this earth. This book is about modern day Christians "tapping" into the power of Jesus Christ to live more spiritually in the world today. This book will concentrate on the first six chapters of this Gospel which is focusing on living more spiritually in the Kingdom of God upon this earth by becoming a dedicated Christian Disciple for Jesus Christ. The subject of the book is: "Where Will You Live?" All Christians need to learn to live more spiritually in God and less carnally in this world. This book will examine in detail how to do this, and in its signature Chapter Four: "The Samaritan Woman at the Well"; the book will highlight the importance and necessity of all Christians witnessing to all lost sinners. Finally, the book will emphasize living with God in Heaven one day for all of eternity.

This stunning photo essay takes a look at the thousands of children around the world who have been forced to flee war, terror, hunger and natural disasters, young refugees on the move with very little left except questions. It's hard to imagine, but the images here will help unaffected children understand not only what this must feel like, but also how very lucky they are. The final message is that children, even with uncertain futures, are resilient and can face uncertainty with optimism. With images from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Where To Live written by Andrew Hollis Wakefield and has been published by BRILL this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-01-01 with Religion categories.

This book examines the function of Paul's citations of scripture in his argument against the law in Galatians 3: 1-14. Drawing on selected insights of intertextuality while helping to clarify its assumptions and implications as a method of biblical study, Wakefield examines the "anonymous intertexts" and "ungrammaticalities" that arise from the scriptural citations in Galatians 3: 1-14. The resulting insights lead to the conclusion that Paul rejects the law--not only for salvation, but also as a means for Christian living--not because of any inherent defect but because its sphere of operation is the old age, not the new age initiated by Christ. Wakefield accordingly proposes a revised reading of Galatians 3: 10: "Because no one is justified in the law before God, it is clear that 'The righteous will live by faith.'" Paperback edition is available from the Society of Biblical Literature (www.sbl-site.org).

A popular guest at many of the town's finest homes, he particularly enjoyed participating in the sombre discussions about Martha's disappearance that still came up from time to time over the dinner table. 'I could tell you about it, every little detail,' he said to himself with a self-satisfied smile as he strolled the boardwalk, exchanging pleasantries with good friends he met along the way. 'But of course I won't. That's our secret: mine and Martha's.' In the gripping new novel from the Queen of Suspense, a young woman is haunted by two murders that are closely linked - despite the one hundred and ten years that separate them. Following the acrimonious breakup of her marriage and the searing experience of being pursued by an obsessed stalker, criminal defense attorney Emily Graham accepts an offer to leave Albany and work in a major law firm in Manhattan. Feeling a need for roots, she buys her ancestral home, a restored Victorian house in the historic New Jersey seaside resort town of Spring Lake. Her family had sold the house in 1892, after one of Emily's forebears, Madeline Shapley, then still a young girl, disappeared. Now, more than a century later, as the house is being renovated and the backyard excavated for a pool, the skeleton of a young woman is found. She is identified as Martha Lawrence, who had disappeared from Spring Lake over four years ago. Within her skeletal hand is the finger bone of another woman with a ring still on it - a Shapley family heirloom. In seeking to find the link between her family's past and the recent murder, Emily becomes a threat to a devious and seductive killer, who has chosen her as his next victim.

Centenarians, once a rarity, are the world's fastest growing age group: there are currently about 50,000 people over 100 in the United States alone, almost three times as many as there were in 1980. Centenarians are setting the gold standard for healthy aging. What can we learn from these pioneers? How can people decades younger apply the centenarians' longevity lessons to their own lives? These are the questions Harvard scientists Thomas Perls and Margery Hutter Silver set out to answer when they launched the New England Centenarian Study. As they probed beyond disease to identify the parameters of an energetic later life, Perls and Silver realized that the key to preserving health and vitality lies not in learning how people stay young, but in understanding how they age well. By identifying lifestyle patterns, vitamins, and medications that contribute to aging well—and may even help slow down the aging process—they show how all of us can maximize the healthy portion of the life-span.Filled with personal profiles, informational sidebars, and quizzes, Living to 100 offers inspiration and solid scientific information to the more than seventy-five million people alive today who can look forward to their ninth and tenth decades.
