Who Can We Blame Now, is about promoting awareness thru opinionated facts, personal experienses, and insight as the result of countless conversations with other African Americans through out the years about what goes on in our communities, such as lack of unity, the crabs in the bucket syndrone, and of corse, the blaming of other races particularly white for every socioeconomical downfall in our inner cities. If youre someone who is logical and accepts reality with no excuses, then this subject matter and the words you are about to read is as real and logical as it gets, and I wrote no excuses.

Beyond Blame written by Carl Alasko Ph. D. and has been published by Penguin this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-08-18 with Psychology categories.

The inspiring new book from the author of Emotional Bullshit reveals why no one is to blame-but everyone's accountable. For many, a rare day goes by in which the need to blame does not arise-be it to cover one's own errors or just to assign an unfortunate event some kind of name (i.e., "If only X hadn't said X, we wouldn't be in this mess.") And even for those who are somewhat better at keeping the impulse in check-it is still there. According to psychologist Carl Alasko, blame is such an intrinsic part of how we humans communicate that we rarely take a look at what we're actually doing-and how it can affect our relationships. In this book, Alasko reveals that the need to assign blame when something bad happens stems from a very deep desire we all share to "see justice done". Understandable when a grave crime has been committed, but it can become a dangerous habit if we begin to operate as though placing blame were somehow necessary if we want to change something or someone in our world. Yet this feeling that "someone has to pay" is seldom productive in initiating positive change. In Beyond Blame, Alasko teaches readers to recognize destruction that blame causes in their lives-oftentimes without their even being aware-and to put an end to it once and for all. The path to eliminating blame is not a quick or easy one but, as Carl Alasko demonstrates, it is a road that must be traveled if we hope to achieve true peace in our lives.

Moral Responsibility And Desert Of Praise And Blame written by Audrey L. Anton and has been published by Lexington Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-12-24 with Philosophy categories.

This book challenges a basic assumption held by many responsibility theorists: that agents must be morally responsible in the retrospective sense for anything in virtue of which they deserve praise or blame (the primacy assumption). Anton sets out to defeat this assumption by showing that accepting it as well as the much more intuitive causality assumption renders us incapable of making sense of cases whereby agents seem to deserve praise and blame. She argues that retrospective moral responsibility is a species of causal responsibility (the causality assumption). Then, she illustrates several examples in which agents are not causally responsible for any morally relevant consequences, but they seem to be deserving of praise or blame nonetheless. Anton concludes that such cases are counterexamples to the primacy assumption, and turns her attention towards discerning what grounds desert of praise and blame if not retrospective moral responsibility. Anton advances the moral attitude account, whereby agents deserve praise and blame in virtue of moral attitudes they have in response to moral reasons. These moral attitudes must be sufficiently sincere, which means they reach a threshold that distinguishes such attitudes as eligible for praise and blame. Anton adds that whether one deserves praise or blame and to what degree is sensitive to the agent’s personal moral progress as well as the status quo of her society. This addition brings with it the welcome consequence that morality may be objective, but we are still justified in judging one another charitably based on personal and societal limitations.

The world is constantly changing and we never know how tomorrow will be different from today. There are many things we can prepare for in life and some we can't. It’s the ones we can’t that make us understand how fragile we are as humans. Who would have thought, in our time of technology superiority and medical wonderment, we would shut down our world to deal with a virus from COVID-19? Why did we shut down our world? What were we afraid of? Getting a little sick? Getting a lot sick? Dying? AHA! DYING! IS IT DYING? ARE WE AFRAID OF DYING? SERIOUSLY? If our lives are so valuable to us, then why do we allow ourselves to be killed so easily? We can live one of two ways: We can lock ourselves in or let ourselves out. We may be able to protect ourselves more from dying if we lock ourselves in but if we let ourselves out, welcome to your world! In case you don’t recognize it, yours is the world where crime runs rampant, murder is an everyday thing, and there’s a pretty good chance you, a loved one, or a friend of yours is going to be hurt by another human being (who is someone’s child) and you will live with the pain of having been hurt by them for the rest of your life . . . and the persons responsible for your pain will never get punished! We need to stop our future from ending by going down the path it is. We need to stop building ourselves wrong! This book can help us start stopping! There are nearly 7.5 billion people on earth. It is estimated there are over 4,000 religions and it is believed people speak about 6,500 languages. Yet there is no religion anywhere in the civilized world saying a person cannot kill us or our children. There is no government saying the right person will be held responsible for stealing from us or our family. There is no law of any land saying that a person is not allowed to make a mockery of, tease, bother, insult, lie about, embarrass, or in any way destroy another human being! Each of us has the right – unrestricted – to do anything evil, hateful, harmful, and without justification to any other person on our planet without recourse! How is that? Because parents do something wrong if their children do something wrong! And that means if their children EVER do something wrong: ANY time, ANY place!! 1+1 should not equal 3 . . . unless the 3 is a good 3! Blame and Punish helps us understand what, and why, we need to begin believing . . . and fixing! For 300,000 years we've been doing this wrong! It's time to make sure we can live our lives without them ending prematurely so let's Blame and Punish right!
