The Missing Second Dimension of Prayer When was the last time you heard from God? In fact, have you ever had God speak to you? Maybe the question should be: Have you ever waited on God in prayer? Prayer as dialogue may seem surprising to even some seasoned intercessors. This book explores that often missing dimension in the prayer life. Professor Fomum teaches first from the Scriptures how true prayer is a dialogue between God and man. All true communication is two-way, with feedback as the necessary confirmation that the message is being heard, understood, and responded to. Otherwise, we are engaging in monologues, however dramatic. The main reason we need to wait on the Lord in prayer is to seek to know what is on God's heart. This volume advances from the previous one, Moving God Through Prayer which taught how we should pray according to God's will. Now the process for finding out God's will is delineated. Using a few key models, mostly from the Bible like Moses, Paul, and the Lord Jesus himself, the author brings out the importance of waiting on the Lord for revelation and answers. If these heroes of the faith spent such a large proportion of their prayer life in waiting on and listening to God should not every one of us do likewise?

What if God wants you to wait? Most of us know what it’s like to wait for God to change our circumstances. But, whether we’re waiting for physical healing, emotional breakthrough, or better relationships, waiting is something we usually try to avoid. Why? Because waiting is painful and hard. The truth is, it’s also inevitable. In Still Waiting, Ann Swindell explores the depths of why God wants us to wait by chronicling her own compelling story of waiting for healing from an incurable condition. She offers a vibrant retelling of the biblical account of the Bleeding Woman that parallels her story—and yours, too. Let Ann help you see the promise that is hidden in the ache of waiting and the hope of what God can—and will—do as you wait on him.

This book, Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard, was birthed in me by God from Him bringing me through the waiting process to fulfilling His will for my life. Until your prayer concerning your desires are manifested and your faith becomes sight, it can be a difficult process to go through. I thank God for the delay to help me understand how He works. Waiting: Your Prayer Is Heard shows my waiting process, the Lord revealing to me Luke 1:13: "Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son and thou shalt call his name John." The Bible already declared that Elisabeth and Zacharias were stricken in years, which in my estimation was not praying for a child at that point, but during their early marriage and childbearing years. The Lord revealed to me their prayer went ahead of them, He delayed their answer, causing Elisabeth's barrenness until His appointed time, as John, their son, was selected to be the forerunner of Jesus Christ. It was a special birth due to the work John was chosen to do, he had to be born in the timeline of Jesus and was 6months older. This story and revelation were clear in my waiting period as I saw the hand of God in answering all my prayers in a specific way when God revealed my husband. I was able to see every unique conversation I had with the Lord through the years being packaged in him whom God sent, but I had to wait until God completed His work in him. We must know God hears our prayers despite the answer not coming immediately at times. We also must understand that God knows us best, and He is able to make the choice for us instead of us making it for ourselves. We can receive God's permissive will, but there is a joy that comes when we wait for the fulfillment of His divine will in our lives. Whatever you are praying for to be fulfilled in your life, as you wait, inquire of God what He wants you to do. This book highlights the processes you will encounter, ways to avoid distractions and the steps to take in maintaining your blessing when God has fulfills His promises to you.

The faith journey can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be. Abraham, Joseph, David, Paul, and even Jesus himself—all heroes of the faith who experienced both the soaring grace of answered prayers and crushing sorrow when God seemed unwilling to respond or too far away to hear. And yet, even in the darkest times, God was working, writing an unseen story of redemption that would save the world. When we pray, how do we see beyond the immediate and into the eternal? How do we know when to keep praying and when to give up; when to consider something a promise from God and when to recognize that it was from our own imagination? Why does silence from God rarely mean no and almost always mean come closer? The One Year Praying in Faith Devotional answers these questions and many more, taking you through a 365-day journey that will help you experience a prayerful relationship with God like never before.

The Sovereignty of God is a religion classic by English Bible teacher Arthur Pink who articulates and relates the Biblical truths of God's absolute Sovereignty with the main goal to exalt God solely from the pages of Scripture. Pink attempts to draw closer the tension between the sovereignty of God and the responsibility of man, an eternal question that remains debated even though it's seemingly plainly taught in the Scripture. The author's focus is on the divine side of the issue, defining God's sovereignty and presenting the different spheres that it works and operates. Further on he turns to the tension between the sovereignty of God and human will and responsibility.
