Nakia S. Williams has gone through so much in her early adulthood. All the tragedy she has gone through, later brought triumph. She has earned a license in Medical Transcription and has received a degree in Accounting. She has become much closer to God, has done speeches at various churches, and has appeared nationally on television on The Maury Povich Show. This positive lady has begun her career in Data Processing/ Accounting. She likes to live happy and successful, so she remembers to keep God first in her life. This book is more of like an autobiography on Nakia. It states how everything was going swell for Nakia in her early adulthood, until one day, she had a head on collision on her way home from college. She was rescued in a nick of time by an assistant of God, seconds before her car blew up in flames. She suffered numerous injuries; her lips & chin were burnt off completely, her jaws were broken, teeth were knocked out, brain bled, lungs collapsed, left tibia bone was broken, and right calcaneus was fractured. She continues to stay strong behind this, and she refuses to give up. Nakia feels as if all the trauma she has gone through is just a challenging test, that she plans to pass. She hopes that her testimony inspires many individuals who feel as if they are insecure, unpretty, or just need some type of encouragement. She would like you to know that you are only here to please God, so never let what another thinks of you, get you down or keep you from living contently. God´s grace has made this woman be the living testimony she is today. So she is sharing her true story to the world just as God told her to.

The Concept Of Tragedy written by Sam Han and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-04-03 with Social Science categories.

Events in the world today appear to be increasingly uncontrollable and unknowable. Climate change, refugee crises, and global pandemics seem to demonstrate the limits of human reason, science, and technology. In light of this, the terms "tragedy" and "tragic" have come into greater use. What does the register of the tragic do? What does its deployment in the contemporary context and other times of crisis mean? In addressing such questions, this book also argues for a "tragic vision" embedded in the history of social thought, demonstrating the relevance of the ancient tragedians and Aristotle as well as Shakespeare and modern dramatists to the most pressing questions of agency and collectivity in the social sciences. Developing a theory of "tragic social science," which is applied to topics including global inequality, celebrity culture, pandemics, and climate change, The Concept of Tragedy aims to restore "tragedy" as a productive analytic in the social sciences. As such, it will appeal to scholars of sociology, anthropology, social theory, media and communications, and literary criticism with interests in tragedy, suffering, and modernity.

Traumatic experiences happen to nearly everyone, at some time, in some form. The aftereffects--depression, anxiety, addiction, panic attacks, insomnia, and more--can affect us for years or even a lifetime. But the brokenness following a traumatic event is never a life sentence. We are all changed by trauma, but we do not have to be defined by it. Drawing on cutting-edge research, Triumph over Trauma empowers you to find relief and hope once and for all. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, this whole-person treatment approach recognizes you as a unique constellation of emotional, physical, intellectual, relational, and spiritual dimensions. This book explains how trauma affects your emotions, body, brain, relationships, soul, and dreams. Then it shows you how to create a personalized plan to find your way back to wholeness, joy, and peace.

The plays of Tennessee Williams are some of the greatest triumphs of the American theatre. If Williams is not the most important American playwright, he surely is one of the two or three most celebrated, rivaled only by Eugene O'Neill and Arthur Miller. In a career that spanned almost five decades, he created an extensive canon of more than 70 plays. His contributions to the American theatre are inestimable and revolutionary. The Glass Menagerie (1945) introduced poetic realism to the American stage; A Streetcar Named Desire (1947) explored sexual and psychological issues that had never before been portrayed in American culture; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1955) dared to challenge the political and sexual mores of the Eisenhower era; and his plays of the 1970s are among the most innovative works produced on the American stage. But Williams was far more than a gifted and prolific playwright. He created two collections of poetry, two novels, four collections of stories, memoirs, and scores of essays. Because of his towering presence in American drama, Williams has attracted the attention of some of the most insightful scholars and critics of the twentieth century. The 1990s in particular ushered in a renaissance of Williams research, including a definitive biography, a descriptive bibliography, and numerous books and scholarly articles. This reference book synthesizes the vast body of research on Tennessee Williams and offers a performance history of his works. Under the guidance of one of the leading authorities on Williams, expert contributors have written chapters on each of Williams' works or clusters of works. Each chapter includes a discussion of the biographical context of a work or group of writings; a survey of the bibliographic history; an analysis of major critical approaches, which looks at themes, characters, symbols, and plots; a consideration of the major critical problems posed by the work; an overview of chief productions and film and television versions; a concluding interpretation; and a bibliography of secondary sources. The volume concludes with a selected, general bibliography and a comprehensive index.
