Disparitas pemidanaan menjadi salah satu isu krusial dalam proses peradilan pidana, termasuk tindak pidana korupsi. Dalam konteks pemidanaan, disparitas berarti adanya ketidaksetaraan pemidanaan terhadap pelaku tindak pidana dengan isu hukum yang sama. Buku berjudul Prinsip Keadilan Dalam Mengadili Perkara Tindak Pidana Korupsi ini merupakan buah renungan dan kontemplasi penulis terhadap kondisi disparitas yang dikhawatirkan berujung pada kaburnya nilai-nilai keadilan. Perbedaan berat ringan pemidanaan yang mencolok di antara perkara-perkara dengan isu hukum yang sama dianggap sebagai bentuk ketidakberkeadilan, namun persoalan ini sulit dikoreksi karena berada dalam bingkai independensi hakim. Sejatinya, penjatuhan pidana tidak dapat dilepaskan dari prinsip kepastian dan proporsionalitas, di mana pemidanaan terhadap pelaku kejahatan seimbang dengan kejahatan yang dilakukan. Berpijak pada PERMA Nomor 1 Tahun 2020 Tentang Pedoman Pemidanaan Pasal 2 dan Pasal 3 Undang-Undang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Korupsi yang merupakan respons dari kegelisahan penggiat anti korupsi di tanah air, penulis mencoba mengurai problematika disparitas tanpa menciderai asas kemandirian hakim, melakukan penghayatan terhadap asas kepastian dan proporsionalitas serta menghubungkannya dengan berbagai teori keadilan yang populer di dunia hukum.
