Women in German Yearbook, Volume 16, a refereed journal presenting feminist approaches to German literature and culture, focuses on moder Austria. It features interviews with Barbara Frischmuth and Elfriede Jelinek, a review of recent feminist studies of contemporary Austrian women writers, and a translation from Jelinek's Malina filmscript, as well as articles on Ingeborg Bachmann's "Simultan," Anna Mitgutsch's "gypsy" texts, and a 1929 novel on working women and motherhood.
