Key Features Challenging Choices boxes in each chapter highlight how writers have decided to proceed at a particularly difficult juncture in their writing process. Choosing Divorce written by Dr. Cassie Seal PT DPT and has been published by Balboa Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-04-07 with Family & Relationships categories.

There is an unwritten rule in our culture that to divorce someone means that we no longer Love them. Yet, I am convinced the question we should be asking ourselves in the face of divorce is not whether we still Love this person, but rather HOW CAN I LOVE THIS PERSON MORE? By the time I started asking these questions, it was undeniable that something was deeply wrong with our marriage. Neither of us were happy and neither of us knew what to do about it. Armed with two choices (stay or leave) and a commitment to loving him more, I set out to uncover the path that was right for me. I discovered that the problem in our marriage wasn’t that either one of us had done something wrong. It was that we didn’t know what Love is. More than anything, this book is a journey to discover Love. It is the dismantling of what we have learned Love to be (conditional and co-dependent) and the rebuilding of a relationship structure that is built on a foundation of Love that is unconditional and whole. I am not advocating for more divorce. I am advocating for more Love. I do not care whether you are married or divorced. I care whether you are living, breathing, and being in a state that is Love.

Genre And The Invention Of The Writer written by Anis Bawarshi and has been published by University Press of Colorado this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-12-01 with Language Arts & Disciplines categories.

In a focused and compelling discussion, Anis Bawarshi looks to genre theory for what it can contribute to a refined understanding of invention. In describing what he calls "the genre function," he explores what is at stake for the study and teaching of writing to imagine invention as a way that writers locate themselves, via genres, within various positions and activities. He argues, in fact, that invention is a process in which writers are acted upon by genres as much as they act themselves. Such an approach naturally requires the composition scholar to re-place invention from the writer to the sites of action, the genres, in which the writer participates. This move calls for a thoroughly rhetorical view of invention, roughly in the tradition of Richard Young, Janice Lauer, and those who have followed them. Instead of mastering notions of "good" writing, Bawarshi feels that students gain more from learning how to adapt socially and rhetorically as they move from one "genred" site of action to the next.

Volumes in Writing Spaces: Readings on Writing offer multiple perspectives on a wide range of topics about writing. In each chapter, authors present their unique views, insights, and strategies for writing by addressing the undergraduate reader directly. Drawing on their own experiences, these teachers-as-writers invite students to join in the larger conversation about the craft of writing. Consequently, each essay functions as a standalone text that can easily complement other selected readings in first year writing or writing-intensive courses across the disciplines at any level. Volume 3 continues the tradition of previous volumes with topics such as voice and style in writing, rhetorical appeals, discourse communities, multimodal composing, visual rhetoric, credibility, exigency, working with personal experience in academic writing, globalized writing and rhetoric, constructing scholarly ethos, imitation and style, and rhetorical punctuation.
