Not One Sparrow Is Forgotten: A Weekly Poem to Build Faith in Christ is a book that consists of fifty-two inspiring poems. The enlightening poems are written from a first-person perspective and bring to life some of the most miraculous and faith building moments found in the Scriptures. Want to know what it was like for Peter to walk out on water with his eyes fixed on the Savior? How did it feel for the young boy who only had two loaves of bread and five fish to give everything he had so the Lord could feed the five thousand? Or what must it have been like for David to have the faith to go up against Goliath? You will feel as though you are living the stories and will come away feeling that the Savior has walked your path, you are loved by the Good Shepherd, and you can truly do anything through Christ.

A visionary work that combines speculative fiction with deep philosophical inquiry, The Sparrow tells the story of a charismatic Jesuit priest and linguist, Emilio Sandoz, who leads a scientific mission entrusted with a profound task: to make first contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life. The mission begins in faith, hope, and beauty, but a series of small misunderstandings brings it to a catastrophic end. Praise for The Sparrow “A startling, engrossing, and moral work of fiction.”—The New York Times Book Review “Important novels leave deep cracks in our beliefs, our prejudices, and our blinders. The Sparrow is one of them.”—Entertainment Weekly “Powerful . . . The Sparrow tackles a difficult subject with grace and intelligence.”—San Francisco Chronicle “Provocative, challenging . . . recalls both Arthur C. Clarke and H. G. Wells, with a dash of Ray Bradbury for good measure.”—The Dallas Morning News “[Mary Doria] Russell shows herself to be a skillful storyteller who subtly and expertly builds suspense.”—USA Today

About the Book D. A. Gregory was born and raised in Queens Village on Long Island, N.Y. She and her husband of 54 years lived in Europe, Florida and Kentucky. After raising two children and working as a church and legal secretary, a preschool teacher and children's Sunday School leader, she retired and had time for her artistic painting and love of writing. Of her three children's books, the family favorite is on Amazon entitled, "Lillian Rose Wants a Turtle," based on her granddaughter's childhood wish. This, her first biography, is a poignant Memoir vividly recalling the pain and lifelong scars of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of a tyrannical father. The author's struggle with parental rejection and her doubts of self-worth and insecurity send her on a purposeful search for identity and truth. At times, love come through her mother and other relatives like beams of bright light dispelling the darkness. In young adulthood, a perceptive "messenger" was sent who saw her need and led her on a faith journey to her loving, caring Heavenly Father. This is a riveting story of overcoming and sensing God's watchful eye on His child that reshaped her destiny and turned years of dysfunction into a life worth living. So, step back into the 1950's as the author weaves the culture of that day's innocence, tragedy and tradition with childhood imagination and humorous relief. Truly, her life is a testimony to God's immeasurable saving grace, love and protection, asserting, "His Eye is on the Sparrow."

The Price Of A Sparrow written by Deacon Stephen A. Olenchock and has been published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-07-02 with Religion categories.

The Price of a Sparrow is the third of three books of reflections on the Holy Scripture, each a stand-alone book whose short chapters can be read randomly. There is no order; just let the Holy Spirit guide you to the chapter that you may need to read at that moment. Multiple references from the Book of Genesis through fourteen chapters of the Old Testament are followed by references to the gospels of the New Testament and sixteen chapters, concluding with the Book of Revelation. As in Thank the Holy Spirit and Blessed Are You Who Believe, the reader is invited to enter on an exciting journey into the Holy Scripture. As the reader, place your own lives into the reflections, and make each experience your own. Please be sure to read the referenced passages in the Holy Scripture, because the word of God inspired those texts. The author would be honored if you would then read the plain language reflections that he has put into the book. Understand, inspiration for these reflections came from the Holy Spirit through me, your writer, and are now given to you, the reader. Each of us is worth more than the price of a sparrow, yet not one of them falls to the ground without God's knowledge. How much more does God love each one of us!

This book is a sweeping anecdotal view of two thousand years of Christian history. It asks whether we are called to be a righteous community apart from those who are sinners, criminals, and nonbelievers, or if we should embrace all people as Christ did.
