Liberation,' says Osho, 'means coming back home.' According to Osho, 'Life is nothing but an expression of silence.' We come out of silence, but then lose our way. In order to experience this silence again and attain liberation, we need to rediscover the path back to our pure being. Only then can the cycle be complete; then will we be able to reach kaivalya, a state which Osho tells us is higher than either moksha or nirvana. The key is simple: we must not identify with our bodies and minds, as all identification is outwards, and we are going on an inner journey. And Osho emphasizes, as always, the importance of combining intelligence, awareness and humour on this journey. In addition to speaking on the Yoga sutras of Patanjali, Osho addresses questions about life and how to live it without fear of pain, old age or death. Osho's answers are never the same, for he doesn't answer-he responds. As he has often said himself, 'Your questions may be the same, but the answers of a Buddha always have a new nuance to them, a new flavour, a new fragrance.

The Ashtanga yoga of Patanjali is universally applicable, indifferent to the passage of time, cultural divergences, social rank, race, or gender. It offers clear and practical guidelines to salvation while recognizing the importance of devotion, ethical and responsible behavior, mindfulness, Self-study, and simple living. This book is an interpretation, analysis, and commentary on the practical course of study offered by the Yoga Sutras to each of us striving to achieve liberation through Self-Realization. It clarifies the esoteric science of yoga, specifically the Ashtanga yoga of Patanjali, and make it more accessible. Each of us must read, study, contemplate, and meditate on the meaning of each sutra until we have not only a deep understanding but our own realization. We understand best when we internalize knowledge transforming it into wisdom. We then must transform this realization into action, applying our gained wisdom to practical application. When we do this, we are sharing our uplifted consciousness with the world contributing to the spiritual evolution maintained and supported by spirit.

Yoga Sutras written by Dennis Hill and has been published by Trafford Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-07-16 with Health & Fitness categories.

The Yoga Sutras were compiled about 2,000 years ago by the sage Patanjali from an oral tradition reaching back into unknowable antiquity. He gives us the essential wisdom for the practice of yoga and meditation to know, first hand, the essence of our true Self-the conscious indweller that enlivens this body. Experiencing the fully conscious state shows us the essential transcendent nature of the universe to bring us a state of undisturbed joyous tranquillity. Traditionally, this wisdom has been handed down from master to student as a transmission of the means to liberation. Patanjali tells us that the pure blissful inner Self is already attained and all that is required is to lose interest in that which is not the Self. This is pretty straight forward, and we learn all we need to know in the first three sutras. Presuming we will not get it the first time, he goes on to detail the nature of the Self, the practices that will awaken us, the attainments that arise from the practices and then explains about the state of final liberation. Throughout the book we are reminded of two fundamental practices that lead to the final state, kaivalya. One practice is vairagya (dispassion, non-attachment) and the other is viveka (discrimination). In the practice of viveka, we learn to discriminate between the mind and the watcher of the mind (consciousness itself). When we can rest in the state of consciousness knowing itself; we answer the question, "Who am I?" Also available from this author: The Inner Yoga of Happiness

Liberation written by Yogani and has been published by AYP Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-06-01 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

This concise volume provides a survey of the methods of Yoga as they relate to the rise of the non-dual condition of enlightenment, or "Liberation" ("Moksha" in Sanskrit), and practices that can be utilized during the end stage of the journey. It is about the rise of the witness and the evolution to ripeness and relational self-inquiry for permanent realization of the observer being both beyond and in unity with all objects of perception, accompanied by the natural emergence of an unending flow of divine love in the world. While this book is about Advaita-Vedanta and Jnana Yoga for end stage realization, it is also about assuring that the prerequisites of Deep Meditation and related yogic methods are not ignored, as so often happens in modern teachings on enlightenment. Liberation is the cap-stone of the AYP Enlightenment Series, the "vedanta" of it so to speak, meaning, "the end of knowledge." It is also an expansion on the discussion that began in the seventh book of the series: "Self-Inquiry." As has always been said throughout the AYP Enlightenment Series, the center of all spiritual progress is found within each human being, and that theme culminates here. Liberation is in your hands. "Liberation" is the eleventh book in the Enlightenment Series, preceded by "Retreats," "Eight Limbs of Yoga," "Bhakti and Karma Yoga," "Self-Inquiry," "Diet, Shatkarmas and Amaroli," "Samyama," "Asanas, Mudras and Bandhas," "Tantra," "Spinal Breathing Pranayama," and "Deep Meditation." Yogani is also the author of two highly-regarded user-friendly textbooks providing detailed instructions on full-scope yoga practices, "Advanced Yoga Practice - Easy Lessons for Ecstatic Living, Volumes 1 & 2," and a spiritual adventure novel, "The Secrets of Wilder - A Story of Inner Silence, Ecstasy and Enlightenment."

Depth Over Time offers a vision of the freedom and liberation available to anyone who is willing to make spiritual growth the primary focus of their life. Much more than just a discussion of philosophy, the book provides readers with the tools to undertake a profound spiritual transformation within themselves, to gain the direct realization that "God dwells within you, as yourself." Depth Over Time covers the most important aspects of the practice of Kundalini MahaYoga. Discussions include the topics of Grace and individual effort, our relationship with God, the wish to grow, the teacher-student relationship, selfless service, surrender, cultivating stillness, and the critical need to consciously choose spirituality, moment by moment. Throughout the book, Swami Khecaranatha reiterates that spiritual practice does not just happen during formal, closed-eye meditation. Swami Khecaranatha explains the philosophy and practices of this Tantric tradition in terms that Western students can readily understand, yet his message conveys the essence of the highest teachings of the ancient Kashmiri Shaivite tradition. He makes it clear that attaining liberation and living in Divine Presence is not just the purview of saints, but a real possibility for anyone willing to devote his or her life to the pursuit of unconditional freedom.

More than 100,000 copies sold! Millions of Americans know yoga as a superb form of exercise and as a potent source of calm in the midst of our stress-filled lives. Far fewer are aware of the full promise of yoga as "the way of the fully alive human being"--a 4,000-year-old practical path of liberation that fits the needs of modern Western seekers with startling precision. Now one of America's leading scholars of yoga psychology--who is also a Western-trained psychotherapist--offers this marvelously lively and personal account of an ancient tradition that promises "the soul awake in this lifetime." Drawing on the vivid stories of practitioners at the largest yoga center in America, where he has lived and taught for more than ten years, Stephen Cope describes the philosophy, psychology, and practice of yoga--a practical science of development that urges us not to transcend or dissolve the self, but rather to encounter it more deeply. In this irreverent modern-day Pilgrim's Progress, Cope introduces us to an unforgettable cast of contemporary seekers--on the road to enlightenment carrying all the baggage of the human condition: confusion, loss, disappointment, addiction, and the eternal conflicts around sex and relationship. As he describes the subtle shifts of energy and consciousness that happen at each stage of the path, we discover that in yoga, "liberation" does not require us to leave life in the world for some transcendent spiritual plane. Life itself is the path. Above all, Cope shows how yoga can heal the suffering of self-estrangement that pervades our society, leading us to a new sense of purpose and to a deeper, more satisfying life in the world.

Buddha Yoga written by William Bodri and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03-29 with Religion categories.

The path to enlightenment, self-realization, moksha or spiritual liberation is essentially a pathway of Yoga. Specifically, this pathway of "Buddha Yoga" entails both mental meditation practice and inner cultivation of the Qi or Prana within your body via your willpower so that you can attain the first fruit of the spiritual path, which is an independent spiritual body that can leave your physical body at will. Buddha Yoga is also a pathway that requires you to polish your mind and behavior so that you can achieve the purity of virtue in thought, word and deed. Regardless of their religion and hard work at spiritual training, most people won't achieve the initial fruit of the spiritual path because they usually lack the proper instructions and devotion to effective spiritual practice efforts. The most they can then hope for is success in the afterlife, during which time they can choose to become Bodhisattva protectors or guardian spirits for all sorts of earthly activities. Why waste time if you can start training for such a role now? That being the case, this book teaches ordinary people how to properly perform spiritual practices and how they can most effectively train to become a guardian spirit, Buddha or Bodhisattva of their own choosing. This includes spiritual careers as protectors of nations, cities, people's health, wealth, agriculture and so forth. This is a form of Karma Yoga. It reviews common spiritual teachings about the origin of the universe and consciousness, helps you decide upon your own specific life purpose or purposes within life, delineates the Yoga practice methods for cultivating the physical body and stages of emptiness meditation required of Buddha Yoga, goes over several foundational topics of study for becoming various types of guardian spirits or Bodhisattva protectors for humanity, and reveals how religious professionals can better help greater society through certain forms of self-study. A tour de force of countless practical topics, in addition to training guides of various types it also reveals how spiritual leaders can more easily raise money for their centers and efforts.
