Manjithe Senanayake is a 14 year old Sri Lankan author. Down below is a letter from the author to you with the details about the book and about him. To my readers, The book is about facing challenges strongly. I think that most people face challenges in their day-to-day life. Especially children. I also faced challenges as a kid. For example, giving a speech to the whole school or to the class. When writing this book, I also faced challenges. I haven't written a book yet. So, it was a challenge for me to write a book for the first time. The main thing of a book is proofreading. I don't have someone to proofread my book, but I did that myself. A book cover is so important for a book I didn't have a cover designer. I learned how to design a cover and I made it myself. Sometimes I stayed awake until about 1.00 a.m. to prepare this book. I wanted to publish my book and now I have done it. My next challenge is to increase sales of my book and I'm determined that I can do it. So, readers, keep in your mind that challenges are just words. Face challenges like me, like Peter. You will realize that challenges are just words. If you get scared of challenges, remember this story, remember about me, remember about Peter. Topics brought to focus Need of love and protection to a child. Importance of facing challenges strongly. Importance of living with nature

From the horrors of war in Yugoslavia to life on a Newcastle council estate in the north of England, the tremendous pace of Flying with Kites will take your breath away. Katya Gjikolli is bent on her own and her son's survival in a world gone mad. Her husband may have been caught by the Serbs, he may be imprisoned, tortured or even dead. She eventually escapes on a refugee flight to the UK. She finds herself housed with another Kosovan refugee in a high-rise flat in a depressed area of Newcastle in the north of England. She begins her new life, finding new friends and a new love. One woman's struggle to survive leads to new friends who live on the edge of the law. There's Bigsy who will do anything to make money, strictly for cash. Chirpy and Wazza make up the colourful trio who aid Bigsy in delivering drugs to the clubs in Newcastle for Everton Sheedie, a dealer with roots in Brixton. Carol, Bigsy's wife, dishes out 'favours' to him dependent on how well he behaves and how much money he gives her to spend. Polly is an art student with a talent for flying kites, as well as an eye for a good photograph and for Katya. Other characters are peppered throughout the novel providing colour and depth, making this a terrific read. It has got sex and violence. It's also got tenderness so well written that it will bring a tear to the eye.

Baba loves telling Tai Shan stories while the kites--one red, and one blue--rise, dip, and soar together. Then, a bad time comes. People wearing red armbands shut down the schools, smash store signs, and search houses. Baba is sent away, and Tai Shan goes to live with Granny Wang. Though father and son are far apart, they have a secret way of staying close. Every day they greet each other by flying their kites???one red, and one blue???until Baba can be free again, like the kites. Inspired by the dark time of the Cultural Revolution in China, this is a soaring tale of hope that will resonate with anyone who has ever had to love from a distance.

Virgil Wander written by Leif Enger and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-10-04 with Fiction categories.

Midwestern movie house owner Virgil Wander is "cruising along at medium altitude" when his car flies off the road into icy Lake Superior. Virgil survives but his language and memory are altered and he emerges into a world no longer familiar to him. Awakening in this new life, Virgil begins to piece together his personal history and the lore of his broken town, with the help of a cast of affable and curious locals - from Rune, a twinkling, pipe-smoking, kite-flying stranger investigating the mystery of his disappeared son; to Nadine, the reserved, enchanting wife of the vanished man, to Tom, a journalist and Virgil's oldest friend; and various members of the Pea family who must confront tragedies of their own. Into this community returns a shimmering prodigal son who may hold the key to reviving their town. With intelligent humor and captivating whimsy, Leif Enger conjures a remarkable portrait of a region and its residents, who, for reasons of choice or circumstance, never made it out of their defunct industrial district. Carried aloft by quotidian pleasures including movies, fishing, necking in parked cars, playing baseball and falling in love, Virgil Wander is a swift, full journey into the heart and heartache of an often overlooked American Upper Midwest by a "formidably gifted" (Chicago Tribune) master storyteller.
