Learn to Yoyo with this illustrated guide by Keisuke Saito. This guide contains illustrations and instructions to perform: multiple throws and throw varients, sleepers, 'Walking the Dog, ' 'Around the World, ' 'The Eifle Tower, ' 'The UFO' and many many more. This guide is aimed at people who want a more comprehensive understanding of Yoyoing and Yoyo history! This guide includes sections on: Yoyo structure, the basics of throwing, string tricks, picture tricks, looping tricks, two handed yoyoing and yoyoing as therapy. Below is a sample of the book's introduction! The Yoyo, also commonly spelt 'Yo-yo' or 'Yoyo, ' is a skill toy that consists of two disks connected to an axel. A string will be wrapped around the axel. A slip knot will normally be made on the end of the string that is not wrapped around the axel, this is known as the 'handle.' A player will normally insert their middle finger (although any finger will work) into the slipknot's loop. The Yoyo is played with by allowing gravity (or the force of a throw + gravity) to pull the Yoyo downwards. The Yoyo's two disks will spin in unison on the axel and will unwind the string. The player will then gently tug on the handle to reverse the rotational momentum - this will cause the Yoyo to retract along the string and return to the player's hand. This act is often called 'Yoyoing.'

*Available for Pre-order now* ‘A superstar in every aspect of the word.’ Eminem ‘An incredible poet.’ Stevie Wonder The first and only Estate-authorized biography of the legendary artist, Tupac Shakur, a moving exploration of his life and powerful legacy, fully illustrated with photos, mementos, handwritten poetry, musings, and more *AS SEEN IN THE ACCLAIMED DISNEY + DOCUMENTARY 'DEAR MAMA'* Artist, Poet, Actor, Revolutionary, Legend- Tupac Shakur Tupac Shakur is one of the greatest and most controversial artists of all time. More than a quarter of a century after his tragic death in 1996 at the age of just twenty-five, he continues to be one of the most misunderstood, complicated and prolific figures in modern history. Tupac's unapologetic lyrics, for which he was villainized by many at the time, read in these pages as prophecy. His cry of outrage in a country that repeatedly told Black men and women that their lives did not matter, continues to inspire his fans around the world. In Tupac Shakur, author and screenwriter Staci Robinson-who knew Tupac as a young man and who was entrusted by his mother, Afeni Shakur, to write his biography-peels back the myths and unpacks the complexities that have shadowed Tupac's existence. With exclusive access to his private notebooks, letters, unpublished lyrics and uncensored conversations with those who knew and loved him best, Robinson tells a powerful story of a life defined by politics and art, and a man driven by equal parts brilliance and impulsiveness. It is a story of a mother and son bound together by a love for each other and for their people, and the relationship that endured through their darkest times. It is a political story that begins in the whirlwind of the 60's Civil Rights Movement, and takes you through a young artist's awakening to rage and purpose in the nineties era of Rodney King. It is a story of dizzying success and its devastating consequences. And, of course, it is the story of his music, his timeless message that will never die as it continues to touch and inspire past, present and future generations. New Feature Information

In recent years, attitudes towards ‘’Sámi religion’’ have changed both within religious, cultural, political, and educational contexts as a consequence of what can be called the ‘’Indigenous turn’’. Contemporary, indigenous religion is approached as a something that adds value by a range of diverse actors and for a variety of reasons. What does it mean to study culture – and what does culture finally mean? Whether we compare cultures or delve deeply into the dynamics of a single social order, anthropology’s task is to confront the interplay of the human condition and the cultural form. Tracing the genealogy of our touchstone method, ethnography, and investigating its relation to alternative disciplines that try to get at the heart of the human experience – philology, history, and social relations – this volume considers whether contemporary anthropology might, at last, be able to define culture, after more than a century of investigation.

Primates In Anthropogenic Landscapes written by Tracie McKinney and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-01 with Science categories.

The field of primatology has expanded substantially in the last twenty years, particularly with regard to studies of primates in human-altered landscapes. This text aims to review the recent literature on anthropogenic (of human origin) influences on non-human primates, bringing an overview of this important area of primatology together for students. Chapters are grouped into three sections, representing the many ways anthropogenic activities affect primate populations. The first section, ‘Human Influences on Primate Habitat’, covers ways in which wild primates are affected by human actions, including forest fragmentation, climate change, and the presence of dogs. Section two, ‘Primates in Human-Dominated Landscapes’, looks at situations where non-human primates and humans share space; this includes primates in urban environments, primate tourism, and primates in agroecosystems. The final section, ‘Primates in Captivity’, looks at primate behaviour and welfare in captive situations, including zoos, the primate pet trade, and in entertainment.
