2017 jahrt sich zum fünfhundertsten Mal der berühmte Thesenanschlag, bei dem Martin Luther seine 95 Thesen an die Wittenberger Schlosskirche nagelte. Um und über das damit verbundene, nicht zuletzt durch Luther neu aufgesetzte Verhaltnis von Politik, Macht und Kirche wird im Angesicht des Reformationsjubilaums in diesem Jahr (weiter) gerungen werden. Wann, und wenn ja wie, sollte Kirche sich in Politik einmischen? Wenn Kirchen nur noch Durchgangsstationen für Passageriten sind, wenn religiöses Leben und Denken sich kaum noch lebensweltlich abbildet – welche politische Relevanz besitzt dann noch »Kirche«? Eine besondere Relevanz gewinnt diese Frage aktuell dadurch, dass die Kirchen in der Bundesrepublik – und darüber hinaus – gegenwärtig wie selten zuvor im Spannungsfeld zwischen christlichen Werten wie Barmherzigkeit und Nächstenliebe und den Ängsten auch zahlreicher Gläubiger angesichts von Millionen Flüchtenden hin- und hergerissen sind. In derselben Zeit, in der etwa die katholischen Bischöfe in Bayern mit der CSU um ihren Begriff von Humanität ringen und die AfD geißeln, machen die Orthodoxen beider Konfessionen europaweit auf den Straßen gegen die gesellschaftlichen Liberalisierungstendenzen der vergangenen Dekaden mobil. Derweil die Kirchenoberen der christlichen Konfessionen in Deutschland als Wortführer einer umfassenden Willkommenskultur agieren, unterstützen die Kirchen in Polen und Ungarn die Abschottungspolitik der dortigen Regierungen. Während die Großkirchen fortgesetzt schrumpfen und alternative Kleinkirchen sowie charismatische Bewegungen weltweit wachsen, feiert die Rede von der Christlichkeit des Abendlandes als Fundamentalprägung der durch muslimische Zuwanderung vermeintlich bedrohten (west-)europäischen Kultur fröhliche Urständ. In solch einer Zeit ist die Frage nach Kirchen und Politik so aktuell wie nötig und brisant. Zur Erhellung des Themas will INDES sich wie gewohnt nicht allein in der Gegenwart umsehen, sondern in den Beiträgen, etwa in Portraits, Inspektionen und Gesprächen, auch nach der Genese, Geschichte und Wandel des spannungsreichen Wechselverhältnisses von Politik, Kirche und Macht fragen.

The long tradition of Kierkegaard studies has made it impossible for individual scholars to have a complete overview of the vast field of Kierkegaard research. The large and ever increasing number of publications on Kierkegaard in the languages of the world can be simply bewildering even for experienced scholars. The present work constitutes a systematic bibliography which aims to help students and researchers navigate the seemingly endless mass of publications. The volume is divided into two large sections. Part I, which covers Tomes I-V, is dedicated to individual bibliographies organized according to specific language. This includes extensive bibliographies of works on Kierkegaard in some 41 different languages. Part II, which covers Tomes VI-VII, is dedicated to shorter, individual bibliographies organized according to specific figures who are in some way relevant for Kierkegaard. The goal has been to create the most exhaustive bibliography of Kierkegaard literature possible, and thus the bibliography is not limited to any specific time period but instead spans the entire history of Kierkegaard studies.
