Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Theologie - Vergleichende Religionswissenschaft, Note: 1,7, Universität Erfurt, Veranstaltung: Zivilreligion in Theorie und Praxis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Konzept des Laizismus in der Türkei stellt ein interessantes Thema dar. Die Türkei ist das einzige Land in der muslimischen Staatengemeinschaft, in dem der Islam nicht Staatsreligion, sondern das Laizimusprinzip in der Verfassung verankert ist. Auch wenn sich die Türkei an einem westlichen Beispiel orientiert wurde, unterscheidet sich der türkische Laizismus stark vom französischen Vorbild und machte in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten eine beeindruckende Wandlung durch. Dabei kann die Frage nach der aktuellen Politik nicht unbeachtet bleiben, denn der Islam gewann in den vergangenen Jahren in der Türkei immer mehr an Einfluss. Nicht zuletzt aus diesen Gründen habe ich dieses Thema für die wissenschaftliche Arbeit gewählt. Beginnen werde ich mit einer Einführung in das Laizismusprinzip, um im Anschluss daran einige konkrete Beispiele anhand des türkischen Laizismus zu geben. Der Laizismus in der Türkei zählt zu den kemalistischen Prinzipien, die von Kemal Atatürk bei der Staatengründung eingeführt worden sind. Deshalb werde ich auch auf den Kemalismus in der Türkei eingehen und einen kurzen geschichtlichen Abriss der Gründungszeit der türkischen Republik geben, um im weiteren Verlauf den Laizismus in der Türkei früher und heute zu vergleichen. In den vergangenen Jahren ist auch der Einfluss der Politik immer wichtiger geworden. Die CHP, die Partei, die die kemalistischen Prinzipien vertritt, ist seit 2002 nur noch in der Opposition. Dabei stellt sich die Frage ob in der Türkei eine schleichende Islamisie-rung zu beobachten ist. Aus diesem Grund kann auch die Politisierung der Türkei nicht außer Acht gelassen werden. Auf diesen Punkt werde ich zum Ende der Arbeit im Abschnitt „Islamisierung durch die Politik“ eingehen. In der Arbeit soll weiterhin untersucht werden, wie die türkische Gesellschaft die Unterordnung der Religion vom Staat bewertet. Als Primärliteratur werden Texte von dem Türkeiexperten Heinz Kramer verwendet, die in dem Türkeiband der Informationen zur politischen Bildung herausgegeben wurden. Weiterhin stützen sich die Ausführungen auf Texte von Faruk Sen und Cemal Karakas. Weitere verwendete Literatur ist der Literaturliste im Anhang zu entnehmen.

Hierzu wird aufgrund eigener Erfahrungen verfassungsrechtliches Material aus Deutschland und Brasilien herangezogen. Am Ende steht ein Vorschlag, wie diese Säkularisierungsfalle vielleicht vermieden und die Politische Theorie wieder der Realität gerecht werden könnte.

Religion is resurgent across the globe. In many countries religion is a powerful source of political mobilization, and in some a potent social cleavage. In some religion reinforces the state, in others it provides the space for resistance. This book contains a series of detailed studies examining religion and politics in specific countries or regions. The cases include countries with one dominant religious tradition, and others with two or more competing traditions. They include Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, Hinduism, Shinto and Buddhism. They include states where religion and politics are closely linked, and others with at least a low wall of separation between church and state. The cases are organized by the type of religious marketplace, but allow many other comparisons as well. We develop some generalizations from the cases, and hope that they will be a fertile source of theorizing for others.

The question of religion, its contemporary and future significance and its role in society and state is currently perceived as an urgent one by many and is widely discussed within the public sphere.
