Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Zwillinge gibt es, solange es Menschen gibt, nur in geringerer Zahl als Einlinge. Sie gehören statistisch gesehen zu Minoritäten der Gattung Mensch. Aber gerade darin begründet sich ihre Attraktivität. Denn alles, was selten und ungewöhnlich ist, ruft im allgemeinen Neugierde und Interesse beim Menschen hervor. Die Existenz von Zwillingen wirft viele Fragen und Probleme auf, z.B. wie sie entstehen oder wie die Zwillingsschwangerschaft verläuft. Über die biologischen Bereiche (Genetik, Biologie, Medizin) im Zusammenhang von eineiigen und zweieiigen Zwillingen wurde schon viel geforscht und dazu Arbeiten verfaßt, dagegen aber weniger über den soziologischen, psychologischen und pädagogischen Hintergrund des Zwillingsdaseins. Gerade deshalb möchte ich mich in meiner Diplomarbeit auf die besondere Erziehung in soziologischer, psychologischer und pädagogischer Hinsicht bei eineiigen Zwillingen von 0-6 Jahren im Unterschied zu einzelnen Kindern beziehen. Von großer Bedeutung scheint mir die spezielle Problematik bei eineiigen Zwillingen, was besonders die psychische Zwillingsentwicklung und hier vor allem die Identitätsfindung betrifft, was sich gerade z.B. in der Namensgebung, Kleidung noch verstärkter (wie bei zweieiigen Zwillingen) bei eineiigen Zwillingen niederschlägt. Diesen Abschnitt behandele ich als Schwerpunkt. Da im allgemeinen eine Wechselwirkung zwischen Individuum, Familie und Gesellschaft besteht, werde ich näher auf diesen im Zusammenhang mit eineiigen Zwillingen eingehen, ebenso auf die eigene Erziehung der Eltern, weil diese wiederum gerade die Sozialisation der Säuglinge und Kleinkinder leicht beeinflußt. Daß ich mich nur auf die Familiensituation von 0-6jährigen eineiigen Zwillingen beschränke, begründe ich damit, daß in diesem Lebensabschnitt, in dem Kinder meistens in einer Familie aufwachsen, davon der Mensch, wie auch schon inzwischen wissenschaftlich belegt ist, sehr stark in seiner Persönlichkeitsentwicklung geprägt wird, besonders von seinen Eltern und auch Geschwistern. Eine weitere Motivation zu diesem Thema ist meine eigene Betroffenheit. Ich selbst bin wie eineiige Zwillinge aufgewachsen und habe die typische Zwillingserziehung hautnah positiv, aber auch negativ erfahren. Genau genommen bin ich Vierling.
