Inhaltsangabe:Problemstellung: Zunehmende Technologisierung und Vernetzung kennzeichnen unser Zeitalter. Gründe für diese Entwicklung sind vor allem in der gegenwärtigen und zukünftigen Bedeutung des Faktors Zeit" zu sehen. Zeit ist ein Synonym für Geld, Fortschritt und somit auch für Konkurrenzfähigkeit im wirtschaftlichen Bereich geworden. Wer nicht so schnell wie möglich die besten Informationen erhält und sie so schnell wie möglich zu seinen Gunsten im Wettbewerb umsetzt, wird von der Konkurrenz überholt. Bewiesen wird diese Theorie u.a. durch die immer kürzeren Produktlebenszyklen. Die enormen Angebotsausmaße auf dem Markt - sowohl in Form von Produkten als auch in Form von Informationen - bewirken ein Information-Overload" für den Rezipienten, der nur ca. zwei Prozent des Angebotes bewußt wahrnimmt. Es ist offensichtlich, daß diese zwei Prozent die für ihn interessantesten und relevanten Kommunikationsangebote darstellen oder daß es Angebote sind, denen er aufgrund ständiger Wiederholung nicht entgehen kann. Werbetreibende müssen daher versuchen, den Rezipienten durch angemessene Wiederholung der Information in einem Medium zu erreichen oder/und dem Rezipienten die Information über mehrere Medien zu vermitteln, um so den Synergieeffekt derselben zu nutzen. Die beständige Suche der Werbetreibenden nach neuen Kommunikationswegen zu den Rezipienten hat dazu geführt, daß seit einiger Zeit zusätzlich zu den traditionellen Werbeträgern und den neuen Medien - z.B. CD-ROMs" und Personal Computers am Verkaufsort" - international von vielen Unternehmen Computernetzwerke in Form von Online-Diensten und in Form des Internet zur Produkt- und Unternehmenspräsentation genutzt werden. Da sich innerhalb dieser Netzwerke sowohl Privatals auch Geschäftsleute in unterschiedlichen Altersstufen treffen und Computer, vor allem für Kinder, schon zum Alltag gehören, scheinen sie eine ideale, zukunftsträchtige Plattform für die Werbetreibenden zu sein, die zudem noch eine aktuelle, schnelle und interaktive Kommunikation ermöglicht. Um den neuen Anforderungen zu entsprechen, die eine Netzwerkwerbung an den Werbetreibenden stellt, haben Werbeagenturen in jüngster Zeit Multimedia-Töchter bzw. -Abteilungen gebildet. Ferner sind Multimedia-Akademien gegründet und Internet-Werbungspreise ausgeschrieben worden. Methodische Erläuterungen zum empirischen Vorgehen folgen. In der Auswertung, die den Kern der Arbeit darstellt, werden sieben Deskriptoren auf Konsistenz bzw.
